Chapter 49

"So do you still love him?" Chloe asked.
I was sitting on my bed choosing what I was going to wear on Shawn & I's date.
"Yeah." I hesitated.
"Then what's the big deal?" She asked.
"I'm not sure if I want to take the chance again. I fell badly last time. Then he broke me." I said grabbing a few dresses.
"I'm sorry. But it was for a good reason." She answered.
"Whatever. He hurt me." I scoffed.
"I know. Just don't think about it. He did it because he loves you. And he still does." She smiled.
I smiled and then picked out a light blue dress with sandals.
"Look good?" I asked her.
"Yep." She threw me a hair brush and I went to the bathroom.

It was 6 and Shawn was right on time.
"Lydia?" He knocked on the door twice.
"Come on in." I yelled.
He walked in and sat on my bed.
I came out of the bathroom all ready.
"I just have to find my clutch." I said scanning the room.
I looked at Shawn and he was staring back at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing." He shook his head.
"No, tell me." I sat beside him.
"I can't believe that I left you for so long. I don't know how I survived." He said with tears in his eyes.
"Shawn-" I started.
"No! I'm so sorry that I left you. You didn't deserve that. I was a jerk." He said wiping his eyes.
I grabbed his face and smashed his lips onto mine.
It had been so long. The want and desire was worth it.
"Lydia- wait." He pulled back.
"What, I'm sorry." I scooted away.
"No, it's just....I don't know. I just don't want to rush into things. I love you and I want this to be perfect." He said grabbing my hand.
I nodded my head, agreeing with him.

"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yes, I'm starving." I replied rubbing my stomach.
"Good, because I have something special planned." He opened the limo door for me and we both slid in.
