CHAPTER 18

It's been two days since Taehyung and Chae Yeon were together. It meant it's been two days also, Hyerin had to bear the unbelievable pain when her eyes had to witness their intimacy.

Though she wanted to try and denied the fact, but she still had to admit that happened because of her. If only she hadn't meddled into his business. If only she hadn't let that girl come that day and if only she hadn't allowed herself by asking Taehyung to give her a second chance.

"Eonni, your pancake was burning in fire." Hyun Min's voice led Hyerin to jump out startled. She came into realization before darted her eyes toward her.

"What?" she asked when Hyun Min pointed her eyes toward the pancake. Hyerin turned her eyes along with the unpleasant smell greeted her nose.

"Omo!" she turned off the gas before getting the pan and threw the burning pancake into the bin. She then wailed heavily.

Hyun Min leaned against the refrigerator whilst grinning widely at Hyerin's reaction.

"Are you daydreaming, eonni?" she asked.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't save your breakfast." She said out of guilt.

"It's okay. I'll be having that at the college." Hyun Min told.

"Or maybe if you could wait for a while? I will make a new for you." She said.

"No need. Just make it for oppa. I'm late already." She said.

"Okay." Hyerin replied.

"By the way eonni, when would you start the internship?" Hyun Min asked after a gulp of water.

"Less than two weeks. Why?" she countered back as her hands busy cleaning the burning pan.

"No. I just wondering. So, after this who will be the one to make me breakfast?" she said.

"I can do that if you want, brat. It's not like I'll be at the hospital for 24 hours." She told.

"Haha, okay then." Hyun Min grinned. "Okay eonni. I think I should go now. And I'll be late today." Informed Hyun Min.

"Okay, be careful." Hyerin smiled.

"Bye!" she said before leading her legs toward the door. And Hyerin continued her task to make a new pancake for Taehyung.

(Ding dong...)

The doorbell made a noise as Hyerin finished preparing the breakfast. She cleaned her hands before making a way toward the door.

As the door opened, she stood frozen.

"Oh, hi." The guest said. Hyerin just replied with an awkward smile.

"Taehyung at home, right? Of course he was since I saw his car outside." She asked and answering her own question.

"Why busy to ask me that if you knew the answer?" Hyerin muttered lowly.

"Pardon?" Chae Yeon jerked her brows.

"Nothing." Hyerin response with a fake smile.

"Okay then. Hmmm... If you don't mind, can I..."

"Oh, come in. Don't be shy. Just do like in your own house. Taehyung probably still asleep. I'll wake him up. So, please wait here for a while." She was ready to walk toward the stairs when Chae Yeon stopped her.

"Wait."

"Yes?" Hyerin's brows furrowed in wonderment.

"I just want to thank you for that day when you called me and informed about Taehyung. If you didn't do that, maybe until now Taehyung still couldn't accept me. By the way, thanks a lot." She smiled.
