CHAPTER 21

Taehyung went downstairs and resorted his legs toward the kitchen as he needed water to wet his throat. But when entered the kitchen, he wasn't alone when Hyerin also there washed the dishes.

Taehyung opened the refrigerator while his eyes stared at her. Looked at her state, seemingly she didn't notice his presence. After took a glass of coke, he leaned his body against the refrigerator and look at her.

"Ehem..." he tried to get her attention but there's no response from her. "Ehhemmm..." and this time, Hyerin's body reacted surprisingly. She turned her body.

"Oh, Taehyung-ssi. You scared me. I almost throw this glass thinking that you're..."

"Thief?" Taehyung cut her off.

"Hmm." She hummed.

"Luckily, I'm not a thief or my head would already bleed badly." He told, causing Hyerin to curl a light smile. She turned back her body and continue with her work.

Taehyung crossed his arms while staring deeply at her from the back. Actually, there was something he wanted to ask her but he worried if that thing should not be talked at this time.

Especially when looking at how something could bother her right now. He knew something wasn't right happened between Ha Joon and Hyerin and looking at both of their reaction at the hospital just now led him to think that they really didn't want anyone to know about that. But... what was that?

"Taehyung-ssi?" Hyerin called as she realized Taehyung's eyes still on hers.

"Yes?" he raised his brows.

"You don't want to sleep?" she asked.

"Ohh, no. I haven't feel sleepy yet. It's okay just do your work. I'll just stay here in case there's a thief coming in." he told. Hyerin frowned at him.

"It's so rare to hear that thing from you?" she said before taking the dry cloth to wipe the sink.

"I know, right? So, better if you appreciate this rare thing I gave to you." He told.

Hyerin shook her head with a light smile.

"By the way, how's your first day today?" he asked, want to know.

"Not bad." Hyerin replied.

"Really? Because I've noticed someone looked so nervous during the introduction session this morning." He snapped, recalling how panic and anxious Hyerin were when he entered the ER.

He didn't know why but he couldn't help himself to think that because of him. Maybe she would never expect to meet him there.

Hyerin took a glanced at him before wash the dirty cloth she used earlier.

"Oh really? I wondered who that was." Hyerin said, acted like she knew nothing.

"She is the craziest girl I'd ever see and I wondered how she could be an intern at my hospital. You would think the same if you see her, seriously." Teased Taehyung with his so-called serious face.

Hyerin threw an annoying look at him before countered back. "No, I don't think so. I mean, I don't have to look at her to have the same thought as yours. I'm sure, she's being an intern at your place because she deserved that. According to my mind, I'm sure she was polite, have good manners, nice, smart, clever, and knowledgeable and most importantly, she was cute and pretty, right?" Hyerin flattered herself while blinked her eyes several times with a smiled.

Taehyung stunned for a second. He didn't know why but his heart beating so fast looking at those smile and her cuteness. What's wrong with your heart, Kim Taehyung? Seriously!
