CHAPTER 41

Hyerin leaned against the wall, holding a picture of her mother. Her face was a pale blur since yesterday. Tired and lifeless. Her soul had been swept away as the emotion strangling it whole.

Up until this moment, she still hoped whatever happened just a nightmare and she wanted to wake up at any time soon to end this nightmare. But the more she thought, the more real she could feel.

It's not a dream and she did not sleep at this moment. It was all real. The real fate that she ought to face, forever.

"Thanks for coming." Said Hyun Min, bowing at the guests who were coming to the funeral ritual. Hyun Min, Taehyung and some of the interns at KTH Medical Centre came to give help and serve food for the guests.

They couldn't afford to let Hyerin handle all the things alone especially in her current state. She still depressed with the loss of her mother.

"Song Yi eonni, can you stay here for a while? I wanted to take food for the guest." Hyun Min asked.

"Okay." Said Song Yi with a smile. Hyun Min leave to take the foods and when she was walking through the room where Hyerin sat, her legs stopped. She stared at her.

Since this morning, she didn't budge and just sitting there with her mother's photo with her. She didn't even touch any foods since yesterday and when she asked her to eat something, Hyerin would shake her head as an answer.

Looking at that, she was worried if something bad would happen to her. She could collapse again and again.

"Hyun Min-ah?" Ha Joon's voice greeted her at the entrance. Hyun Min looked at his brother's friend.

"Oh, oppa." She said. Ha Joon approached her before leaned his body against the door, looking inside the room.

"Still like that?" he asked.

"Hmm." Hyun Min replied. "I'm worry looking at her, oppa. She looked dejected and swollen. Sometimes, she would cry silently."

Ha Joon sighed. "Losing someone we loved is not an easy thing. Particularly, a family member. She faced the same thing twice." He stated.

"Yes, I know." She sighed again. "By the way, where is Taehyung oppa?" Hyun Min asked since Taehyung's figure was nowhere to be seen.

"Outside. On the phone with his girlfriend, I guess." Informed Ha Joon. Before he got here. He noticed Taehyung was talking with someone on the phone and he could see, sometimes Taehyung looked irritated.

"Ohh..." Hyun Min nodded before something crossed her mind when the words of 'Taehyung's girlfriend' was mentioned. She looked at him.

Maybe she could ask him for help?

"Oppa, I have something to tell you." Hyun Min said.

"What was that?" Ha Joon hoisted her brows. Hyun Min stared at Hyerin before continuing her sentences.

"I think we shouldn't talk about that here. I don't want anybody to hear about this." she told.

"Is that important?" Ha Joon wanted to know and Hyun Min nodded.

What was that?

"Please Chae Yeon, I don't want to talk about that right now. I'm busy. I'll hang up. Bye." He said before ended the call. He sighed before ruffled his hair in resentment with Chae Yeon's intolerance.

Every time she called him, she would ask him about the marriage and sort of. Although he was the one who gave her the hope but being desperate like that somewhat annoyed him so much.
