CHAPTER 25

"It's all done." Said Hyerin toward the elderly woman patient after she finished draw her blood.

"Thank you, young lady." Said the patient. Hyerin smiled while putting on the blood collection tube inside the tray. Then she checked the IV bag and the ECG monitor.

"Your blood pressure and pulse are normal. Once we get the blood test result, you should be able to go home, grandma." Informed Hyerin friendly.

"Yes." The patient replied and smiled. Hyerin bowed and asked herself to go. She handed the blood tube to the nurse for the laboratory test and walked toward the station to check the patient chart.

"Hyerin-ah! Happy birthday!" Song Yi suddenly appeared out of nowhere, wishing her birthday with a smiley face.

"Birthday? Who? Me?" asked Hyerin dumbfounded.

"Yah! It's you. Your birthday. Idiot." Said Song Yi before Yeri and Jungkook came to join them at the station.

"Today is your birthday Hyerin-ah? Then, happy birthday." Wished Yeri and followed by Jungkook.

"Ah... yes... thanks. I myself forgot that today is my day. By the way, thanks, Song Yi-ah for remembering that and you guys, for wishing me." Said Hyerin.

"Happy birthday from us too, Doctor Park. You're growing old now." Said the nurse in charge at the station, Nurse Choi.

"Thanks, Nurse Choi but I'm still younger than you. And the cutest in this department." Replied Hyerin proudly. The others laughed with that joke.

"So, when are we going to celebrate it? Tonight?" asked Song Yi already excited. Every year, she would be the first to wish Hyerin a birthday, so did Hyerin. And they'll never miss celebrating the birthday together.

"Deal! I'll inform Min Jae and Ha Joon hyung later." Jungkook answered as he agreed with Song Yi's suggestion.

Ha Joon? Omo, I am really didn't want him to join but how can she tell them about that? Of course, she couldn't tell them about her and Ha Joon. So, she really has no other choice instead to agree with that.

"I'm sorry but I can't join you all. But I'll surely get a gift for you tomorrow, okay?" said Nurse Choi.

"No, it's okay. No need for that." Hyerin said.

"But still a birthday girl shouldn't refuse the gift, isn't it?" Nurse Choi said and Hyerin just smiled sheepishly.

Taehyung appeared at the station when three of them busy planned about the place they would celebrate Hyerin's birthday tonight.

All of them bowed as they noticed his presence. Taehyung just nodded before checked something on the computer screen. Song Yi smiled as the idea approached her mind.

"Doctor Kim, will you join us tonight? We'll have a dinner party to celebrate." Song Yi asked Taehyung.

"Yah..." Hyerin poked Song Yi's arms to stop her. But Song Yi just gave her an 'It's okay, don't worry' glare. Hyerin sighed.

"Party? What kind of party?" asked Taehyung but his eyes still on the monitor screen.

"Today is Hyerin's birthday. We're going to celebrate it together. It's our pleasure if you could join us too." Added Song Yi and the rest nodded in agreement.

Taehyung paused the focus on the information on the screen and darted his eyes toward Hyerin who was busy checking the patient's chart. She didn't want to take part in the conversation between them even though the talk was about her birthday dinner.

"Oh really? I don't know... today is... her birthday." Said Taehyung, staring at Hyerin. Of course you didn't know because it wasn't so important for you to know. Hyerin monologued silently.
