CHAPTER 19

Hyerin put her last touch on the sandwich as the last layer of the bread was perfectly done in place.

When she was ready to put the sandwich on the dining table, Taehyung appeared with a brown shirt and black long pant on him. He looked neat and tidy from head to toe as today he would return to work.

He entered into the dining room and took a seat on the chair, ready to have his breakfast. Hyerin poured the hot chocolate into the cup without even looking at him. She then put on the saucer before him silently.

Taehyung stared at her as she looked so different this morning. There's no good morning greeting as usual and she didn't even say anything since he was there.

"I'll be back to the hospital today." Taehyung broke the silence.

"Hmm." Hyerin hummed. Taehyung who was ready to sip the hot chocolate, lifted his head up to look at her.

"Are you alright?" he asked out of curiosity.

"Yes?" she glanced at him.

"You looked distressed. Is there something happened?" he wanted to know.

"Oh, nothing. I just felt sleepy. I haven't had enough sleep last night." she replied with a soft smile before turned to leave him.

Taehyung frowned. What's wrong with her?

Taehyung stepped inside the room and hang on his coat on the coat rack at the corner of the room. He walked toward his work table and take a seat on the office chair.

While wandered around the room, he curled a little smile. It's been a while since he came back into this room. Now, maybe with new goals.

"Hello there!" Someone banged the door open causing him to toss his eyes at the uninvited guest. "May I?" he asked for Taehyung's permission to enter into his room.

"You're already inside, hyung." Taehyung sighed.

"Oh, I know right?" he grinned before resorted his legs to the chair.

"Don't you have a patient right now, hyung?" Taehyung questioned him.

"Why? You felt bothered with my presence?" The guy with a name tag wrote 'Dr. Lee Myung Jae' said.

"No hyung. I just asking." Taehyung told.

"Oh, thought you wanted to chase me away. I'm coming to welcome you on your first day." Said Myung Jae with a smile.

"Are you sure you just wanted to welcome me?" Taehyung hoisted his brows as he could felt there's something else Myung Jae want to say instead of welcoming him.

As expected, Myung Jae curled a smile.

"You knew me that well, huh? Actually, I just wondered something. What actually the reason you want to return back to work? I meant, what did make you change your mind that quick? Looking at how broken you are back then, I thought it would take you about a year before coming back." Myung Jae asked, digging some information from his cousin.

Taehyung smile. "There's no reason. I just want to come back and work. Maybe because I was boring to stay at home without doing anything." He stated.

"Oh I see." Myung Jae nodded before giving him an unusual look.

"Why are you looking at me like that? You gave me a goosebump." Taehyung asked.

"No, I just wondering one more thing." He told.

"What was that?" Taehyung wanted to know.

"Have you fallen with someone? You looked extraordinary happy right now. And it was so different with Taehyung I knew eight months ago." He asked.
