Hyerin fastened her legs toward her little brother who was sitting at the waiting area. He still waiting for her mother's condition outside the room.

"What happened?" asked Hyerin. Her little brother, Woo Hyun stood up and sighed.

"Suddenly shortness of breath and collapse." Said Woo Hyun.

"She's there?" asked Hyerin while pointed toward the treatment room. Woo Hyun nodded. "Since when she was like that?" Hyerin wanted to know. She couldn't let herself calm right now. She was so worried about her mother.

"I'm not really sure but this is the first time she's been like that in front of me." Explained Woo Hyun. Hyerin inhaled her breath and released it heavily. Oh God, please! Save my mother! She prayed.

"Hyerin?" one voice called her, causing her to turn her body and looked at Myung Jae.

"Yes, Doctor Lee, my mom..." Hyerin said.

"Can we have a talk for a moment?" asked Myung Jae. Hyerin looked at her little brother and he just nodded as he gave his sister a time to talk with Myung Jae. Hyerin tossed her eyes back on Myung Jae.

"Yes." She said. Myung Jae nodded and walked toward his room followed by Hyerin at the back.

"Why doctor? Is she alright?" asked Hyerin after taking a seat on the chair in front of Myung Jae. He pressed something on the keyboard before switched it to Hyerin.

"We already performed radiotherapy before to shrink the tumor but after we're done with a blood test and CT scan just now, we identified that there have some cancer was left behind and it affected the lobes. But fortunately, the cancer cell still not spread to the brain and others part of the body. But we have to do immediate surgery because I worried if we don't, it quite hard for your mother." Informed Myung Jae.

"Surgery?" asked Hyerin.

"Yes." He said while showing a figure on the monitor screen. "For your mother's case of a non-small cell lung cancer patient, if you see on this, the middle and inferior lobes has a problem. So first we need to remove that problem lobes." Myung Jae added, pointing the imaging X-ray on the monitor.

"You mean... lobectomy?" asked Hyerin.

"Yes, we'll do it by thoracotomy surgery." Replied Myung Jae.

"But it quite risked, right?" Hyerin questioned as she was well aware of the possible consequence if they were using that approach.

"Yes, it was. The risk is only three from four percent or maybe higher than that, but for lobes, lobectomy is the only better way." Explained Myung Jae.

Hyerin silence. Staring at the monitor soullessly. She knew the risk was higher especially for the older patient like her mother. But there was no other way that suitable at this moment. The surgery still was needed.

"Hyerin ... don't worry. Your mom will be alright." Myung Jae persuaded as he noticed Hyerin's gloomy face. She looked at him.

"Please... save her," said Hyerin. Myung Jae nodded his head.

"I will." He said. Hyerin took a deep breath and released it hard.

She hoped there was nothing bad happened to her mother. She was everything for her and her brother.

So, please eomma. Please be strong. For us!
