CHAPTER 31

Hyerin could see Taehyung's eyes traveled from her eyes to her nose and it fell on her lips. With the sight of him, her cheeks heated and ignited a fire beneath her skin.

They froze like a statue while battling with their own brain and heart. And when Hyerin felt Taehyung's face leaned closer toward her, she gulped as the breath really stuck on her throat. 

She clenched both her fist tightly as she tried to keep the rhythm of her soul at a steady pace. When it was only an inch away from her...

"Kim Taehyung!" Someone voice resonated across the room, causing both of them back to reality. Taehyung immediately made his body upright, led Hyerin's body to slam on the couch.

"Auch!" Hyerin groaned in pain with the sudden slammed before looking at the disturbing voice.

"Chae Yeon, what are you doing... here?" Taehyung asked, surprised with that girl's appearance.

"Why? Is there any reason why I shouldn't be here?" she asked back, looking at Hyerin with furious eyes.

"No... I don't mean that. I just..."

"Surprised? Because I am disturbing you with that maid?" she couldn't hold her fiery feeling any longer. The scene she witnessed a second ago made a fresh swell of rage rose in her.

"Chae Yeon..."

"So, this is what you meant by busy? The patient who will have an appointment with you? Where is them? Is that her?" she snapped before continued her words sarcastically.

"I knew something wasn't right when you said you were busy while your car actually at home. If you want to know, I've already in front of your house when I called you just now. I went to the hospital and they said you were not there and when I was coming here, that thing... hah, what's your deal actually Kim Taehyung? You're lying me because of her?"

"Chae Yeon, I'm sorry. But what I said about the patient, it true at all. Hyerin is my patient right now. She couldn't walk because of the allergy attack and I just wanted to make sure she was alright." Taehyung explained so that Chae Yeon didn't blame him, especially Hyerin into this matter.

Chae Yeon tossed her eyes toward Hyerin. "Yah, did you try to take him from me?"

Hyerin looked at her when she felt the question was thrown at her. Looking at those eyes, she quickly shook her head. "No... why would I?"

Taehyung sighed. "Enough, Chae Yeon. Please, what you just looked is not what you're thinking actually. I just helped her." Taehyung said.

"Maybe you wanted to help her but we never knew what actually she has within her mind. She may think to take you from me, am I right Hyerin?" she blasted in resent.

Hyerin ready to defend herself when Taehyung suddenly cut her off.

"No, Chae Yeon... follow me." Taehyung said while pulling Chae Yeon's wrist to the pool. He couldn't afford to see Hyerin being attacked like that anymore.

"Taehyung, let me go. I'm not done with her yet." She tried to let her hands out of Taehyung's grasp but he made it tighten so that she won't go anywhere.

Hyerin glanced at them with mix feeling. She didn't know what she has to feel right now.

Mad? Yes, she was. Because Chae Yeon kept accusing her for something she never intended to do. Though she loved Taehyung, it didn't mean that she would take him from her just like that. She was not that stupid.

Sad? Yes, she felt that too. Because if she could think wisely, there's no need for her to say her like that. She knew who she was on Taehyung's eyes. So, there's no need for her Chae Yeon to worry about their relationship. If Taehyung loved her dearly, why would he want to look at another girl like her?
