Escape (Keith X OC)

Chapter 13

   Tera was sure a little breakfast with tea would clear her mind. She hasn't seen anyone else around the palace, not even in the kitchen. She thought it to be weird. After she had finished eating, her headache had gone away. She was relieved to finally feel normal-ish. But then, the alarm went off.

       Tera had emidiately gone to change into her suit and meet back at the control room. She was the second person there after Shiro. Then came Keith, next Pidge, Hunk, and finally Lance.

     Once they were all in the room, the alarm had stopped. Coran spoke finally, "Alright, it's about time you all gathered here. There seems to be a major problem, a HUGE 'no-no'."

      Allura further elaborated, "Yes, it appears the Galra are on the move to find the third jewel, the jewel of Ronain on planet Harbor. You must hurry and find it. The coordinates are sent to you. Now hurry!"

      The paladins and Tera all ran towards their lions and ship. They all made it to Harbor with ease. "So, where's this jewel, Tera?" Asked Shiro.

"It's actually not too far from where we are now," Tera answered, "we'll have to travel by foot from here on out."

Hunk sighed, "Ugh, why?" He didn't want to walk; who could blame him?

   The terrain of the planet was mostly forest-looking, but it was not green; it was red. Everything in the planet had a sort of warm color pallet. It looked calm. After they had landed, they all grouped together to find the jewel with Tera leading them all.

       As they walked, Lance came up next to Tera, "So, you really know where it is?"

      She gave a simple reply, "Yup, yup I do. Not too fa-oof!"

      Keith yelled and jumped to cover her, "Tera, Get down! Everyone, it's the Galra!" The Galra soldiers came out from all directions.

     Sendak came out, "Hold your fire!" Everything stopped and it became quiet. He continued, "Well, well, look at what we have here, Tera, the traitor. To think, we , the Galra Empire mourned for your loss! The people that brought you up, and you betray them!"
       He commanded, "Get her!" Galra began lungging out in combat towards the paladins, trying to take Tera. She fought back and she fought well.

      Before she knew it, Tera was going against Sendak herself. He swung a blade near her head, she dodged and moved back. His swings were relentless, she pulled out her gun when she had the chance and shot. Tera shot his shoulder and Sendak yelled in pain. He began to tell everyone to retreat. A few of his men came to help him away into the ship. His wound would not able him to fight as well as he had before. The remaining Galra soldiers were scarce and that was that. They were gone as quickly as they came.

   "Tera, are you alright?!" shouted Lance.

    Keith ran next to her and grabbed her arm to inspect, "Yeah, are you hurt? That guy was pretty big. Agh, I'm such an idiot, I should have helped you!"

      Tera reached out to his wrist to stop him, "Hey, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." He still couldn't help but feel guilty or responsible in some way.

      Shiro walked up, "Well, they know now what happened to you. I'm sorry."

      She shrugged it off, "It doesn't matter, they were eventually going to find out. It was only until I could get the chip out. Now, come on, we have to find that jewel before Sendak does." They all agreed and went back to following the path of the jewel.

       They found the jewel in the trunk of a huge tree, almost like a kind of ancient shrine. Hunk went over to take it out, "Cool, this it?"

"Hold it right there!" said Sendak.

Pidge shouted, "He followed us!"

     Sendak began to laugh, "Of course I did! How else would I find the jewel with out the help of our beloved Tera." He grabbed Tera's face by the chin and she let out a grunt of pain.

"Let go of her!"commanded Keith, who brought out his sword out so quickly Sendak had not had the time to react. Keith yelled, "I said, Let. Her. GO!"

Sendak scoffed at him, "Alright, I will." He shoved Tera hard into the tree trunk and during the commotion, he stole the jewel.
