Chapter 16

Keith finally got to his room and sat at the edge of his bed. He let his head hang as he closed his eyes to think. 'Alright, so Shiro knows something's up...it doesn't matter. It's not a big deal. Nothing happened anyway. Just shrug it off', were the thoughts going through his head. He tried to get some more sleep and woke up at 8:00 a.m.

Tera on the other hand woke up later as usual. She stretched her arms as she got up. "Good morning...", she mumbled and rubbed her eyes. Tera looked around, "Hmph, guess it was all a dream...well, then if Keith didn't show up after all and it was all in my mind, this is awkward." She tumbled off the bed as she lazily slumped back to fall asleep, "AH! Huh, what's this?" As she fell, her hand hit the side table, causing the note left by Keith to land on Tera's face. She read it, "Sorry to leave you, but I had to go back to my room sometime. If I hadn't, someone would assume something was going on. Last night was one of the best nights I've had, Hope." She put the note in a drawer under some clothes.

Tera liked the note and didn't want to just toss it out. However, she had to hide it incase someone happened to walk in her room for some odd reason and see it. She sighed in relief, "So, it wasn't a dream. I guess I'm not that crazy after all." She did her morning routine for the day, but as she was brushing her teeth, the alarm went off. She slumped her shoulders, "Ugh, again? Alright." She changed into her suit and ran again to see what Allura needed them to do. She was fourth to enter the room: Shiro, Pidge, Keith, then Tera. "Another mission...", said Tera. Keith shook her shoulder a little, "It's not that bad." She gave him a tired stare and he gave a sincere look.

Finally, everyone was in the room and Allura explained, "Yesterday the Galra had stolen the jewel of Ronain, today you will get it back. It is a dangerous mission, I know, so please do be careful!" They had to plan out exactly how everything was going to work. This was an extremely risky mission and them flying right up to the ship wasn't being very discreet.

"HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET IN?", screeched Lance. Shiro spoke up, "Well, I was thinking we could use you, Tera." She nodded, "I think I understand what you mean." Keith looked at Shiro and Tera, "Wait up, what are you two talking about?" Shiro explained, "Tera used to be part of the Galra Empire right? Well, what if she was all along? We can make it seem like she's taking us prisoners on board the Galra ship." Hunk thought about it, "I mean, I guess that could work, except that Galra guy from last time knows that's not the case." Pidge dug deeper into the plan, "It could still work if we make it believable, like as if she was a spy the whole time, like a double spy." "I'm fine with it if y'all agree on it", said Tera.

On the Galra ship:

Zarkon and Haggar were called for a report from Sendak. "The missing girl Tera was found.", said Sendak. Haggar was first to respond, "Where is she then?!" Zarkon was intrigued as well, "Hmm? Go on." Sendak finished, "She is alive and well, but she is a traitor! She is assisting the paladins of Voltron! I saw it with my own eyes." Haggar couldn't believe it, "No, that can't be. Tera has always obeyed and followed orders." Zarkon silenced them, "Enough! Whatever the case is, we will have to wait and see." They complied and theft the throne room.
