Escape (Keith X OC)

Ch. 21

 Keith let go of Tera's wrist, "Do you want me to walk with you to the kitchen? I bet you haven't eaten all day and it's 4 past noon." She nodded and looped her arm around his, making Keith look away since his face was turning pink. Tera began walking along side Keith, "So, what's there to eat? The usual green goop?"

 He couldn't stop himself from laughing at her comment, "Yeah, it's just green goop."She sighed, "Again? Oh, well, what can you do? Have you eaten yet?" Keith shook his head.

   He explained, "I wanted to eat with you, so I waited." Tera turned to look at him, still walking. Keith kept smiling to himself and looking forward as Tera felt flattered but terrible. She told him, "You waited? But, it's way past noon. You're probably starving!" He replied, "Not really, I mean, I ate this morning. I just skipped lunch, it's fine." They finally made it to the kitchen.

   Keith pulled out a chair for Tera to sit and brought them their food. She told him, "I was going to get it myself-" He argued, "But you're still hurt. If there's a way to help you, I'm going to do it." Tera picked at her food and ate some of it.

   Keith walked over to Tera and held her hand as she got up, "Come follow me, I have a surprise." She knitted her brows, "But where are we going?" Keith tugged at her, "That's part of the surprise." Tera reluctantly followed.

   With a few turns around corners in the halls they made it to a room with a red hover bike. Keith pulled her towards it, "Hop on." Tera looked at him for a moment before He spoke up again, "What's wrong?" She was in a daze thinking of all the possible mishaps that could occur, like, falling off from the bike into a dark abyss.

Keith furrowed his brows, "If you're worried about getting on here, it's fine. We can hang around here a-", She snapped out of her thoughts, "Oh, no, no. It's fine, really. I just...,"Tera said as she sat behind Keith on the bike.

   He smiled and wrapped her arms around his torso, "I won't let anything happen to you." She nodded and they sped out through the huge sliding door that closed behind them. Tera didn't expect them to be going as fast as they were, causing her to wrap her arms tighter and burry her face into Keith's back.

   He noticed and turned slightly to see her and laughed to himself, but quickly looked forwards again so they wouldn't die. They made it to the top on a cliff where they stopped.

   Keith looked at Tera, "You can open your eyes now." She listened and saw the sun going down, not quite a sun set, but the sky's colors were amazing. Everything looked golden with a few hints of red or orange here and there. She couldn't believe it, "This is amazing." Tera was in awe.

She got up slowly and walked closer to the edge, but not too close. Keith followed her, "I'm glad you like it, I wasn't too sure if you would." He placed a hand on her shoulder and was surprised at Tera's hand on top of it. She turned to him and slid her arms around his neck.

   She spoke up, "of course I like it, it's so nice around here." Keith placed his hands on her hips and closed the space between them, "I love you." Tera couldn't believe what she heard, making her eyes wide as Keith pressed his lips against her own.

 She kissed him back and pulled away to speak, "You what?" He looked at her in the eyes, "I said I love you. I do. I know it's random and seems way too soon to say it, but I know it's true."

Tera felt like she was being put in the spot, "I don't, I mean- I think? I don't know. I'm not exactly sure what 'love' is. But, I do know this for sure: I like being with you more than anyone. I trust you the most and, and you make me happy." He smiled at her response.

Hey, y'all, It's been a long while. Sorry for the wait, I've been busy with dual credit, AP classes, work and everything. I want this story to keep going but It's hard to when I barely have enough free time for myself. Ya know what I mean, Jellybeans?

I hope to add a few more chapters soon (don't hold your breath, though!) Since I'm on break and off of work temporily. But, the week's almost over and so I need to find the time to post.

I never expected this much when I first posted the first few chapters on her. Literally, it was only a fic how did it end up like this. Again, thank y'all for being here, y'all are amazing!~
