Escape (Keith X OC)

Chapter 18

Zarkon began to laugh and clap, "I applaud you, red paladin. That was quite impressive." Tera was in utter shock, she didn't expect Keith to do something like that. In fact, she had wished he hadn't. Zarkon commanded Tera, "Stand, girl. You will be escorted to the other room where you will recieve your punishment. I've had enough of this already." She nodded, stood up while fixing her suit again. As Tera left she locked eyes with Keith, who was breathing heavily out of fear and anger.

They had only looked for a second at one another, but it felt longer than that. Keith faced Zarkon, "what're you going to do now, huh?!" The king ordered, "Silence! Place them all in different chambers for later questioning." The guards did as they were told and everyone had left the room.

Tera walked in her room after everything, locked the doors, sat on her old, metal bed and broke out into tears. She knew the Galra better than the paladins. Tera knew this was the easier way around everything, if not, they'd be all captured and stuck. With the Galra thinking she was still on their side, she was able to get access to all areas of the ship. She didn't like the idea of having her friends locked up, but they were safer that way and wouldn't be there for long. "This should be done with by later tonight", she said to herself and stopped crying all together.

Tera concentrated and could find where the jewel was in the ship. Then, she sensed where the paladins were bring held. Tera knew where everything and everyone was now and knew the layout of the ship like the back of her hand. She got up quickly and out the door she went. She passed guards and soldiers with ease and when restricted ares, she discreetly took out enemies. Before she knew it, Tera had the jewel in her hand.

She put it away in her pocket and began making her way towards the surveillance room. Tera snuck up behind the guards and took them down slowly. Afterwards, she destroyed the room and began making her way to Keith's cell room.

Keith was locked away in an empty room. It was completely sealed off with no windows, just a big metal door and a camera. He was just sitting there, feeling the wound on his face by Tera. She left a stinging pain and a small cut under his right eye on his cheek. He was suddenly startled when heard some sort of banging on the door. It eventually busted open, revealing Tera on the other side. She ran in and wrapped her around his neck to kiss him.

He was so confused, but kissed her back anyway.
Tera finally pulled away, "I have the stone, but we don't have much time. Here's your sword, now follow me to get the others." Keith got his weapon, "Is there anything else you want to mention?" She turned around just to kiss his cheek before again running into the hall, "Yes, sorry for that hit earlier! It was to be more convincing. You really took one for the team!" He shook his head while smiling.

They were able to get Hunk, Pidge and Lance out and needed to find Shiro. Hunk, "I gotta say, Tera, you really had us scared back there. Like, I really thought you were with the Galra this whole time." She shook her head, "No, it was all fake. I hate the Galra Empire." Pidge pointed at a door with two guards near by, "I'm guessing that's where Shiro is?" Tera nodded, "Yeah, he's in there. All of us quickly take out those two guys." They all surprise attacked the two Galra soldiers and we're able to bust the door open.

Shiro was there on the floor but looked up, "Guys, Pidge!" Pidge ran up to him, "I'm here. It's alright, we're getting out of here now." The whole group was together now and fought their way out back to Tera's ship. Sendak was there waiting infront of the exit, "So, you were a traitor this entire time, hmm? I knew we should have never have trusted you!" He charged at Tera but Keith jumped in the way with his sword trying to protect her.

"Keith, no!", said Tera as she saw Keith before her. He was sliding back as Sendak was pushing forward, "I won't let them hurt you any more!" Sendak came falling back, "I see now. You have captured some sort of feelings for our girl Tera?" Keith yelled back,"Leave her alone! She doesn't belong to anyone!" He was trying to swing at Sendak, but he kept on dodging. Eventually, Keith cut Sendak on the shoulder and forearm, "You fight very well, paladin, I will admit that." Then Shiro joined in attacking.

Then Lance and Tera began shooting at the general without hitting Keith or Shiro. Pidge along with Hunk ran to the ship to get it running while everyone else was busy. Sendak began getting tired and injured, leaving a chance for everyone else to board the ship. They were all able to leave safely back to the palace with the jewel. Everyone was tired and definitly needed rest. Lance volunteered to take the jewel to Allura, of course. They left to change out of their armor after a long, difficult mission.
