Escape (Keith X OC)

Chapter 17

Tera was in her ship with the paladins, preparing for the mission, "Alright, hold still Lance!" He kept laughing, "But it tickles!", "Just hold still already!", said Keith. Tera was trying to loosly tie their hands to make them seem like captives. She also was holding their weapons in her bracers' port. Shiro re-explained the plan, "Okay, once Tera gets us in the ship, she breaks us out of these holders, gives back your weapons, we find the jewel and get out as quickly and quietly as possible." Everyone understood. Tera pulled up to the Galra ship that used a tractor beam to hold them, "Who are you and state your purpose!" She made herself assertive, "I am Tera. I have been spying on the paladins of Voltron and have them now as my captives as I speak. Let me pass, and they are yours.",

"...very well", said the voice.

"Wow, she sounds so believable", said Lance who emidiately was shushed by Pidge and Keith. Their ship was being pulled in by the beam into the ship. Once landed inside, they walked out and were greeted by Galra soldiers and Sendak. Tera dropped to one knee before Sendak, "General, I am truly sorry for my absence. I have been serving as a spy for the Galra Empire since I have away. Please, accept my apology by taking the paladins I have brought." Hunk whispered over to Shiro, "Uhh, not sure if I was listening to the plan correctly, but shouldn't she have freed us by now?" Then Pidge added on, "Yeah, and our weapons?" Shiro looked confused, "Yes, but...?"
Keith was about to speak but was interrupted.

Sendak yelled, "Silence, paladins or , should I say, prisoners! Tera, fix the problem." She nodded, stood up, and walked up to the paladins, "Yes, general." Keith yelled, "Hope, why are you doing this?!" She looked at him with sad eyes. "I'm sorry, Keith", she whispered quickly before striking him in the face. He couldn't believe what was happening, none of them could.

The general laughed, "I see. Come then, Tera. I'm sure Haggar and Zarkon eagerly await your visit. Guards! Bring the prisoners to meet Zarkon as well." She obeyed, "Yes, general." They eventually got to the throne room to face Zarkon. Sendak brought them in, "Zarkon, Haggar, Tera has brought the paladins of Voltron to us. Everything was according to her own plan." Zarkon got up and made his way to Tera. He picked her up by the neck, nearly suffocating her, "You dare to disobey me. Yet, you did not come empty handed. Because of this, you shall be spared." He dropped Tera who fell to the ground, gasping and coughing for breath.

Although Tera did hit Keith, he couldn't stand watching her suffer. He closed his eyes and put his head down. Haggar approached Tera next, "King Zarkon has spared your life, show some gratitude, girl!" Haggar then pulled up Tera by the arm only to smack her head, "Now!" Tera, who was still on her knees, looked up at Zarkon and then placed her head and hands on the ground near his feet, "Thank you for sparing my life. I am truly sorry for my disobedience. Please, accept my apology!"Zarkon bowed his head in acceptance.

It wasn't over though. The Galra's king spoke once more, "since you have apologized and have giving thanks, you shall recieve a lighter punishment. Forty-five lashes. Guards!" Two guards came to Tera. The one with a lash in hand waited as the other guard unzipped Tera's top half suit to expose more skin. Right when he was about to strike, Keith managed to break a part of the restraint holders on his hands and charged into the guard. The other guard near by tried to swing at him, but Keith was quicker and able to give a few hits to stop his attacker.
