Chapter 7
I could clearly see the same ruby ringlets flowing over her ears and the sun baked skin I’ve seen the other day. I was still in dilemma making sure if it was really Casey or just some random chick. Or were my eyes fooling me? But her eye colour couldn’t betray me. They were perfect sapphire.
I gulped.
“What-what are you doing here?” She asked me.
“This is my school” I replied, promptly.
“You joined here? You actually moved back to London city? God! It’s such a…” She trailed of, “Big surprise.”
I didn’t know what to say. It was either a bad surprise or a good one. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it were bad.
“Well, never mind, I am your senior here.” She said smiling. She stopped before speaking again, “Have-have you met Aaron?” By her tone, she was a little scared. I have no idea why she would be scared to know I have met Aaron.
“Umm…I did”
“What? How could this—well so, what was his reaction? What happened?” Basically I didn’t know how to describe her actions at the moment. She was pretty much in shock.
“Pretty normal is what I can say. He doesn’t know who I really am. SO yeah...”
She sighed. Putting a face palm, she said, “For a second my heart stopped”
“Why?”
“Oh, nothing. The bell is going to be given, so I need to rush back. We shall go out for coffee someday but oh well we’ll be meeting a lot now eh?” She said before storming off.
I did my work before stepping out and made my way to my last class. Casey and I had a fight long back. But, she’s not really behaving the same or too friendly too. But what I made out by her reaction was that she actually liked Aaron like she used to back then. Things are going to get pretty heated up if he knows who I really am. So, to avoid disaster and hurdles in life, this is what it’s going to be like for the rest of my high school years.

I had to keep a watch on the time. I was in the ice rink figuring out new moves. I wasn’t perfect with the waltz jump but the scratch spin. I still had a little more practice to do.
“You’re a very talented girl, just like your father” Ms. Kiera said.
“Try me” I winked before trying the Lutz. It takes too long to practice. I can’t wait to do it perfectly.
Then there was Salchow jump. Salchow was a tough one. I have been killing to do it but it sure is a bitch.
“We’ll get going then. Let’s do the loop” She said smirking.
For a second, her look seemed intimidating.
“Should I be scared?”
“You’ll get to know.” She said with a glint of mischief. “I dunno how long you’ll take for it but if you accomplish the loop, then I wouldn’t wait a second to register your name for an upcoming event”
“Aren’t you putting me up for this deliberately? And I haven’t even got the salchow” I said.
“Look at it like a test. Let’s start, shall we?”
She got into the rink with her skates. I should say she really was one tough woman. She was an inspiration to me. She demonstrated to me the loop jump in the simplest way possible.
