Sorry for the lack of updates I'm too tired and lazy to write all the time. So yeah sorry for all the 'POV' switching. I don't know why but Jack's POV's are soooo much harder to write and they're always so awkward. whoops idk
I think I'm gonna start doing a 'song of the chapter thingy'
So yeah
The song for this chapter is: Stellar by Incubus
*Jack's POV*
"Are you sure I'm not too much of a bother?" I ask. Certainly Alex must be having second thoughts about letting me stay with him for the whole week. I really want to but I don't want to be a burden on him or his family.
"I'm sure. C'mon I'll help you get your stuff packed" He smiles and jumps out of the car. He's so enthusiastic about helping others, there's not many people you can really say that about. I walk up to my house and grab the spare key from under a fake rock. I unlock the door and shove the key in my pocket before walking into the house. Silently I lead Alex into my room and throw some of my clothes into a bag
"So what's up with your mom?"
"What do you mean?" He asks
"She keeps poking you and laughing. It seems to annoy you, I don't know" I shrug
"Oh. Yeah, that. Something about her thinking you're cute? I don't really remember" For some reason he blushes and looks away
"Wow. Well that's interesting. What's your take on that?"
"What do you mean?" He looks so worried oh my god
"Well do you agree with her?" I chuckle a little, hoping for a serious answer.
"Hmm... Why?"
"Just wondering" I shrug and fling the bag over my shoulder before dragging it down the stairs. He sighs and follows me back to his mom's car.
"Alex, don't be rude. Put his bag in the trunk for him" She says, waving her hand out the open window
"Okay" He takes it from me and I awkwardly slide into the backseat again.
"Why is Alex blushing so much?" Mrs. Gaskarth asks
"No idea"
"I am going to pick up a few things at the store. Alex, please help our guest get settled in while I'm gone" Alex's mom says as she hands him a key. He nods as she drives off. He unlocks the door and I carry my bag into the house. God this feels weird. Staying in someone's house for a week, even though I've only known them for a week. Of course I'm aware of why they offered to let me stay here with them. They probably think if I'm left alone with my thoughts for too long then I'll end up right back in that hospital (or somewhere else). All for the same reasons.

*Alex's POV*
"So... uh... What do you wanna do?" I ask, sitting on my bed. Gosh I hate these awkward silences. He shrugs and picks at a string on the end of his sleeve. Letting out a sigh, I continue to marvel at the boy, wishing I knew what he was thinking. Considering what those thoughts, mixed with the 'opinions' from other people, made him try to do, I'd probably end up in tears. He looks up at me and gives a sad smile before returning his gaze to the floor. Just as I start to feel that we're getting closer an awkward silence like this comes along and it's just so frustrating! Oh what am I saying, Jack and I have only been friends for a little while, and I'm pretty sure nothing more is going to happen between us. He wouldn't go for a guy like me anyway. For now I've just got to focus on helping the poor guy keep some of his sanity.
