Sorry Jack's POV's are always so short and weird and stuff but writing from Alex's point of view is much easier for some reason idk
*Alex's POV*
"Alex, I need to talk to you" Mom says. Well if that doesn't make you have flashback of everything you could possibly be in trouble for I don't know what does.
"Umm... Okay" I shrug as Jack heads upstairs to my room. Mom leads me into the kitchen and sighs
"There's something- where did you get that?" She looks at the rose
"Jack gave it to me at the park" I smile a bit looking down at the bright red petals, then I ask "What do you have to tell me?"
She hands me a stone, scribbled on it is one simple word, 'die.' An uneasy feeling washes over me, replacing the happiness from a few moments ago.
"Why are you showing me this?" I look back up at her and she crosses her arms
"Someone threw that at the house while you were gone. It was probably intended to break one of the windows but whoever threw it obviously had a pretty bad aim because it only hit the front of the house. I hate to say this but it's probably one of the kids at your school"
"It could've just been some kind of prank? Maybe they got our house confused with someone else's? I mean, our family didn't do anything to anybody... Why would someone want to hurt us?"
"Sweetie, I'm not so sure they were after our family"
I shake my head and sigh "Poor Jack, why is everybody out to get him?"
"I don't know... Just don't tell him about this, from what I already know he doesn't need any more stress"
"I know" She gives me a quick hug and says
"Now don't leave him up there alone all day" She waves her hands and shoos me away
"Hey dude, your phone is ringing" Jack says, handing it to me. It's Rian. I set the rose on my nightstand and answer the phone
"Hi, Rian"
"Do you want to come over today? Me and Zack are just gonna hang out at my house"
"Umm... Yeah I guess, can I bring someone?" I glance up at Jack and he raises his eyebrows
"That Jack kid?"
"Yes"
"Sure you can bring him"
"So I'll see you in ten"
"Okay, see you soon"
I slip my phone into my pocket and put on a hoodie
"What's going on?" Jack asks
"Oh, we're going to Rian's house for a little while... If that's okay with you?" Oh gosh I should've asked him if he even wanted to go first. He doesn't really know Rian or Zack, but I'm pretty sure they would all get along well. Oh dear I hope he doesn't mind going to a strangers house.
"Fine by me" He smiles and pulls me downstairs
"Mom, we're going to Rian's house. We'll be back in a few hours"
"Okay, have fun. Don't get into any trouble"
"I know" I sure hope she'll be alright while she's home alone. No one else should try to attack the house, right? Maybe dad will come home early today so she wont be alone as long.
*Jack's POV*
I wonder what Alex's mom had to talk to him about? It's none of my business but I can't help but be curious.
While we're walking to Rian's house Alex blurts out "I think I really like you" Then he covers his mouth and his face turns red "Oh dear... I uh..... I didn't mean to say that out loud"
I chuckle and hold onto his hand "I really like you too"
He smiles and does a happy little sigh "You must think I'm some kind of weirdo for just saying that out of the blue"
"Eh, it's alright, if you haven't noticed, I'm kind of a weirdo too" I shrug
At first I was a bit worried about going over to Rian's house since we don't really know each other. But now... oh boy... Now, I know I'll be just fine wherever as long as Alex is next to me.
"Hey Alex and... Jack" Rian answers the door and I blush, realizing I'm still holding Alex's hand "Aha! Zack, you owe me five bucks! I told you they were gonna end up together!" So I guess they were kind of betting on us...

Rian and Zack actually ended up being pretty cool dudes. Zack tried to skateboard down the basement stairs and he actually made it 3/4 of the way before the board flipped sideways and he fell. He was alright though, just a few bruises. They both like Blink and Green Day so I can definitely see the four of us being good friends in the future...
