"Actually, Allison is my girlfriend."

"Oh," you didn't know how to feel about the news that you just received. You were quiet surprised to say at the least. Your eyes were wide and you had a hand raised to cover your mouth in an apologetic way. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know."

Henry chuckled, "It's fine. Like you said, you didn't know." He started to walk towards the entrance while called the others. "Let's head inside and meet the others."

While they walked ahead, you couldn't help but stare into space and trapped within your thoughts.

I feel guilty that I actually started liking him, you thought. I should have known better than to get my hopes up like that.

Your group walked in right away and was greeted by the scent of the food court of the mall. There were different food carts and restaurants of all kinds to fill anyone's desire.

You were hungry and it was obvious when your stomach agreed as well. You squeaked quietly when your stomach rumbled. You hoped no one heard.

Hoped.

Henry turned his head towards you and chuckled again. "We'll get something to eat once we meet the rest of the gang."

"You guys are really close, aren't you?" you asked politely.

"Yes, we have known each other since we were kids," Allison smiled fondly at Henry. Henry returned the smile.

You looked away. You looked at all the tables that were filled with people, mentally thinking of who could be the rest of the group. There was a woman with children. You scratched off that on your list. There was three guys and a girl at a bigger size table with a few other chairs vacant. That was a possibility. One of the guys was reading a book while the other two was going at it in an arm wrestling match. The girl was sighing dreamily at one of the guys and rubbing the guys arm. Henry, Allison, and Sage lead you towards the group.

"[Name] meet the gang. You have the twins; Riley and Tyler." The two guys stopped what they were doing and looked at you. The guy that was reading a book looked up as well. "You have Fredrick, or we like to call him Fred, who is reading a book and then, you have Eric. Everyone meet [Name]."

Everyone waved at you when they were being waved and gave you a kind smile. You looked more for someone else to pop up. "Where is Daniel?"

Everyone laughed at your question. "Daniel doesn't hang out with us. That one day when he was with me, we were just together for that one time," Henry clarified.

You let out a breath. "Well, that's good. He's kinda...weird."

Allison chuckled, "You're nice. Although, I pity you. I'm sure meeting Daniel wasn't enjoyable."

"The guys is just creepy in general," Henry shook his head in disbelief.

"He was so creepy. When we were younger, we called him Dagur because he would always have some sort of switch blade on him and he would play with it out in the open," Tyler said.

"Even the teachers were afraid to take it away from him or send him to the office just because of his reputation," Riley added.

"How come I'm just finding this out now?" Eric questioned.

"You just recently started in our group. This was back in high school," Henry answered.

Eric hummed.

There was a grumble noise and everyone turned to look at you. You gave them a sheepish smile in return. "Sorry, I haven't eaten anything since breakfast."
