WARNING: Only very mildly suggestive. Don't get too hopeful."Henry, come on," you laughed, "It's been nearly a half hour already. Can I see now?"
"Firstly, it's only been fifteen minutes," he laughed back, "Secondly, I just need one more moment."
"It feels like it's been a half hour," you rolled your eyes underneath the blindfold, "What is your definition of a moment more?"
You were startled when a pair of lips landed on yours impatiently. You would've kissed back but the warm lips pulled away. "Be patient," those lips whispered.
You felt the warm presence that loomed over you disappear. Your lips tingled from the sensation you felt. Despite it being startled at first, it excited your adrenaline and left you slightly breathless from the kiss being unexpected.
I'm letting Valentine's day get to me...
You shook off the sudden excitement and it finally disappeared when the blindfold was taken off from you. You blinked and adjusted to the low lighting of the small square table that sat in front of you outside of the backyard. There were two red candles lit and a dinner was set for two with his seat adjacent to yours. You looked to the side hearing a bark, seeing Chestnut with a red bow around her neck and a white bow tie around Toothless' neck. You looked up behind to the man who planned it all in awe.
"You like it?" Henry asked gently.
"It's wonderful, I love it," you smiled.
"Good," he peck your lips before sitting down at his seat.
"I knew you were planning something when you told me to wear the red dress you bought me," you commented.
"Might I add that you look beautiful in it as well? I'm glad it fits," he added his compliment.
You chuckled lowly, "You've only been saying that since I came down."
He lifted your hand in his and kissed you knuckles lovingly. "I can't help wanting to give the woman I love and adore the affection she deserves."
You smiled at him affectionately, but then chuckled, "How did you manage to know my size anyways? You weren't snooping in my drawers again, were you?"
He rolled his eyes but laughed, "That was an accident and you know that. Like I said, I forgot you were using my old drawers and was looking for an old project drawing." You hummed in response. "Allison helped me with the size."
You hummed again in thought, "Well, that explains why she was in my closet."
"She told me you didn't see her at all." You could see the little wrinkles form on his eyebrows in question.
You poked his glabella causing him to rise his eyebrows in surprise. "You forgot that I ran away from my father's bodyguards and nearly escaped every time. I know when a person is suspicious," you giggled and joked the last part.
"Let's eat before it gets cold," Henry concluded.
"It looks amazing," you commented before slicing the chicken breast and putting a bite in your mouth. You hummed in delight, "And it tastes amazing."
"Glad you like it," he added as he took a bite himself. He smiled at you as he chewed.
"Charming," you laughed at his goofiness.
The two of you continued eating just enjoying each other's presence. The dogs went inside a while ago and went to lay down in their beds in the living room. When the two of you were finished, Henry offered a hand for you after he turned on the music player. You let Henry guided you up as he took you in the middle of his patio and held onto your waste gently; as if he was asking permission. He became more relaxed and rest his hands more when you wrapped your arms loosely around his neck. The distance was closed more when you rested your head on his shoulder and his on yours.
