You heard knocking from your living room area. You quietly put down your pen and closed your writing journal on the coffee table. The entry was connected to the living area, so you didn't have to walk too far to get to the door. You didn't look in the peephole though. You stayed quiet trying to hear if there were any noise. You breathed quietly and evenly.

"[Name], it's me."

You sighed in relief when you heard Henry's voice. You opened the door with a welcoming smile and you were greeted by Henry's warm smile.

"Hey, Henry," you breathed, "What's up?"

"Everything okay?" he asked in concern.

"Oh, yeah," you waved it off, "Just a lot on my mind is all."

"Wanna talk about it?" he offered while raising an eyebrow. He smiled that charming smile you remembered when you first saw him.

"Uh," you paused, "Sure."

You stepped aside to welcome him in but he stayed where he was at.

"Actually," he scratched the nape of his neck, "I was thinking of taking a walk." He said but it sounded like a question. It seemed he wanted to make sure you were okay with it.

"Oh, okay. Let me just get my shoes and put a coat on." You smiled before going into the entry closet to grab your daily shoes and the lightest jacket that you have. "You can come in if you want. I'll just be a bit," you offered while going to the couch to put on your shoes.

You saw Henry come in and shut the door but he stayed in the entryway. You tried to quickly put on your shoes then stand up to put on your jacket. When you had everything and picked up your keys, you noticed Henry was looking at a recent family photo that hung nicely by the door. You approached Henry and he turned to you with a smile. The two of you left and started climbing down the stairs. You couldn't help but notice a companion was missing.

"Where's Toothless?" you asked in curiosity.

"He's at home," he answered, "I figured it would be nice if it was just the two of us."

You smirked at him, getting an idea. "You mean like a date?"

"I-I didn't mean to sound it like that," he stuttered, "I-I mean if you want it to be--that is, if you want it. It's not that I mind--but if you don't want to-"

You couldn't hold it in anymore. You laughed heartily. You were laughing so hard you had to stop walking for a bit to catch your breath. Henry was a few steps ahead of you staring at you with a deep pink hue on his freckled cheeks.

"Henry, I was only kidding," you breathed. You continued to walk and eventually walked side by side with him. "Besides, I know you wouldn't want something like that."

You heard the footsteps stop besides you and you turned towards him where he stood. You raised an eyebrow at his sudden serious yet sincere expression.

"What if I do?" he said.

Your eyes widen at what he asked.

"You're joking," you scoffed as you shook off his words.

You moved to continue walking the direction you guys were walking but was stopped by a hand grabbing yours. Your wide, [eye color] colored eyes met his un-moving jade eyes when you faced him.

"I'm not," he mumbled. His other hand met the one he was holding your hand with. He tightened his hold on your hand gently. His eyes never leaving yours. Your breath hitched at the close proximity. His hands held warmth and you were tempted for more.

"Well, if it isn't the short muffin herself."

The two of you finally detached from each other when you heard an all too familiar voice.
