Aftertaste: Chapter Twenty One

Hayden's POV:

I groan as the sun blinds me and makes my head pound harder and harder as I try to cover my face with a pillow. The door opens and I look at Cam.

"Please close the blinds," I beg, only making him laugh as he walks over and does that.

Cameron hands me Advil and a cup of water for the pounding headache. I groan as I stand and go to the bathroom, I wash my face before even looking at it. When I look up I look so tired. I need to find a job. I feel someone pull me to their chest and I look up at Cameron. I put my hair up before going to the closet.

"I remember nothing after Nate," I laugh.

I slip on a crop top that crosses in the front and I slip on ripped jeans. Quickly I slip on my white converse. Cameron hands me one of his black hoodies and I smile since it's so large on me.

I smile, covering my face and looking up at him. Cameron smiles at me.

"You look adorable."

I blush and cover my face with the sleeves covering my hands. I now realize Cameron is shirtless and I blush harder when he pulls me to his chest. I push him off and leave the room while he changes.

Madison and Jack come in with Jude. Jude looks at me and I look at him confused.

"You kissed Jude last night," Madison calls, "We played spin the bottle."

"Oh my god."

Cameron comes down and looks at Jude. Jude walks away.

"Cam-"

"We were all drunk, I mean that's not an excuse but I mean. It's fine, Hayden."

"Cameron, it isn't-"

He kisses me. Our lips move in perfect sync and he pushes me against the wall. My hands go against his chest and he shudders under my touch as I move them up towards his shoulders. One hand moves to my cheek as he entwines his fingers with my hair and his thumb rubs my cheekbone. We pull away and my face is hot.

He laughs before walking off and I follow behind. I find myself quietly watching my friends. They laugh together and I just smile. Taylor and Aaron are coming over later and we need to pack for Magcon.

Jude looks away from me when I try to talk to him. I understand, I guess. Madison grabs my hand and I follow her to the swing in back as we watch the boys.

"You know, I think you should file a restraining order against Nate."

"I- but then I'd have to be out of the house."

"Your safety is more important than him."

I nod.

Nate was so pissed. He sent Sam to complain, who honestly didn't agree with Nate. He told me I did the right thing. I curl in a ball as Cameron holds me. My hands covering my mouth with the sleeves of the hoodie falling to the side.

"You know none of us are mad. You have to understand this needed to happen years ago."

"I know."

I shut my eyes and hum softly as his fingers run through my brunette hair.

"I think I'm gonna dye my hair," I laugh.

"What color?"

"Red, bright red."

Cameron smiles and I curl up to him as the tv softly plays his movie. Cameron leaves his arm around my waist and wrap mine around him. I can't think that I'll ever leave Cameron. My fingers loop through his and Cameron pulls me into his lap and I look into his brown eyes.

I smile and lean down to kiss him. He smirks and kisses me, taking my lower lip into his mouth. I pull away and he kisses my forehead, pushing me against the couch and I hear a throat clear.

"People watch TV on this couch."

I blush as Johnson stares down at us. My face is hot with embarrassment as Cameron moves off of me and pulls me on him as people sit down. I cover my face and he laughs.

Today was a calm day, and I felt so loved for once. Jude walks in and glares at us. It's been such a long day, but I don't care.

He's being such a child just because he didn't ask me first. I shut my eyes, drifting off into the abyss of sleep. Something I haven't really done besides last night when I got blackout drunk. Nightmares came in every night and I was back to being held, scared that I might die, or be sold and forced to have sex with a man I have no feelings for.

So many bidders wanted me just because I'm a twenty year old virgin. I finally feel myself doze off, and I'm out like a light .
