Chapter Ten

Nate's POV:

She doesn't want him. It makes everything worse when he sees Sam. Knowing no one can help when he ruined what they had. So they stay at Gilinsky's house for the day. To avoid getting sick, and to avoid the drama that's bound to happen.

Suddenly Sam's phone rings, and everyone looks at him.

"Who's calling?", Johnson asks.

"It's Hayden, hold up."

"What's up?", he asks as he disappears out of the door.

The silence was uncomfortable, but Johnson won't talk to him, and Gilinsky would just congratulate him for hurting her.

"Nate, Hayden wants me to bring you to the house. Johnson come with us."

They nod and stand. Walking to the door. Gilinsky sighs and let's them leave. Not like he cares for her.

Hayden's POV:

I look at Nate standing in front of me.

"You wanted to see me, Hayden?"

"Yeah... Nate, I don't know if I can trust you right now. You hurt me really bad, and you have to earn my trust again."

"I understand, Hayden."

"You do?"

He nods, and looks sadly at me. Before sending Jack up. My hands shake as he enters my room. My breath hitches in my throat.

"You doing okay?", he asks.

"No, and he's going to kill me once he finds out."

"You're mine, Hayden. He's not gonna have you unless I mess up."

I smile at him, but we don't move towards each other.

"You get better, okay?"

I nod and smile, before sitting down on my bed. I hear everyone leave, and I shut off my light. I grab my phone and go through my instagram feed seeing posts from Sam. I keep the phone above my head.

I sigh. Thinking about how Nate is only one who doesn't know about Jack and I. It doesn't matter that much though. He's hurt me so much. More than anyone else has. I care for him more than I should. Maybe, just maybe he can earn my trust again.
