Cameron;
I look as she sits across the room from me. Her eyes on the ground and the therapist nods.
"He doesn't trust me," she whispers, "He believes what my ex boyfriends say. I just want him to trust me."
"Cameron, why do you listen to them?"
"I have my own insecurities. I just had hoped she had known, and when she didn't say anything, I thought she was playing me."
She looks down and my heart breaks.
"I love her too much though to actually believe them now."
"Do you want to work things out?" She asks Hayden.
"Of course, but I'm so used to getting hurt I don't know if he'll hurt me again.
I look at her.
"I want you two to come in three times a week. Monday, Wednesday's and Thursday's. Okay?"
Her and I nod and she goes to leave first.
"Cameron, she's completely broken. I would like to advise to try to see her outside of these appointments."
"She hates me."
"She doesn't, she is heartbroken."
I nod and run after her.
"Hayden-"
"Go away. I'm waiting for Jack and Mads."
"Baby, please."
We haven't seen each other in weeks. She's ignored me and I've been trying to make it up to her. Her eyes turn to face me and I see the tears that are falling down her face. She's right, I need to be more honest with her.
I wipe the tears away from her cheek and she smiles at me. It's a broken smile and I know what I did hurt her so bad.
"Let me try to work things out. We can start all over. Meet me tonight, please?"
She nods and I kiss her hand as Jack pulls up and she leaves my sight.
Hayden:
I look in the mirror. Cameron is trying and I want to trust him, but I'm so used to continually getting hurt. I sigh and allow back to drive me to the park Cameron wanted to meet at. It was for my sake.
"Will you be okay?"
"He didn't mean to hurt me, that night, Jack. I'll be okay."
"I've heard that from you before."
"I'm okay."
I see Cameron looking for me. He thinks I won't come.
"I'll be back in an hour and a half."
"Okay."
I get out and walk to Cameron. His eyes go to me and I see the pain in his eyes.
"Cam," I say softly.
I hug him and I can hear him left out the breath he was holding. His fingers brush through my hair.
"I'm so sorry."
