Hayden's POV:

I woke up to a loud crash of thunder. My body jolts up as I stare out the window. Nate sits up.

"You okay, baby?" He asks turning on the light.

"Just scared of storms," I say shamefully.

Nate sighs and I can see him get an idea. Nate picks me up and carries me downstairs. I giggle as he sets me down, and takes me to walk outside. I look back at him before I'm pushed in the rain, and he's following behind me. My heart raced as thunder crashed in the sky, and lightening lit it up. Anxiety wasn't my friend. My eyes burned with tears.

"Nate, storms and I don't mix."

"It'll be okay."

I stare at him before he pulls me out into the lawn. Small, cold drops hit my back, and soak my hair as it pelts down around us. The road couldn't be seen, nor could the trees that were just feet from us. I stare up at the gray sky only to jump when thunder crashes again. Nate laughs and pulls me to his body. Our heat mixing together to keep the two of us warm. He takes my chin in his fingers before leaning down to kiss me. He holds my face in his hands. I wrap my arms around his neck, as he pulls me closer. Nate bites my lip and slips his tongue in my mouth. I feel it explore my mouth.

"I love you, Hayden. Nothing will break us apart; not even me. I will not hurt you again."

"I love you too, Nate."

"Hey, love birds! Get in here before you both get sick!" Sam scolds us.

I giggle and let Nate take my wrist to drag me into the house. We get in and I'm handed a towel by Jack G. We must've woken them. Nate holds my cold body as we walk into the living room.

"What we're you thinking?" Jack asks.

"I woke up, because of the storm. Nate, I don't know."

Nate laughs, as Johnson comes down. My wet hair sticks to my face and shoulders as I moved the towel off of me. I place it on the couch underneath me. The others sit down. No one is able to sleep. A flash of lightening flashes in the sky. I try not to flinch, but I end up doing so.

"You okay?" Sam asks.

"I'm scared of thunderstorms. You know that."

Sam nods, clearly forgetting from our childhood. No one even makes fun of me, thank god. Droplets of water drip down my face, and back. Nate pulls me to his side and lay my head on his shoulder.

"Hayden, are you gonna come on tour with us," Gilinsky asks.

"Maybe. I may stay here though. I don't know."

He nods and Sammy looks at me. Things can't be the same. We're brother and sister now, I trusted him as a kid, and now he's just a familiar stranger. Sam pushed out our childhood memories so he could find a scapegoat for losing his mother. I tried for a few years to act like we were still friends, but I had knew better. Especially in sixth grade when he pushed me off the monkey bars, causing me to fall and break my arm. Sam made me hate myself for so many years.

He spread secrets that only he knew. I was alone and only so recently he decides to let me back in.

I drift back off to sleep. Forgetting about the storm outside.
