Jealousy

Bella kept on smiling as she and Hunter started to travel going to her grandmother's house. She is getting married! Who have thought that she'll end up being a wife? Even possibly a mother in the future. Hunter simply made it possible and she couldn't ask for more.

When they reached her grandmother's house, Annabella can't help but to feel nervous and it seems Hunter noticed it as he squeezed their hands together. "We'll be fine."

She only smiled then as they entered her grandmother's study room, she inhale deeply and smiled cheerfully at her grandmother. "Hello Grandma Vita."

Her grandmother smiled back but tentatively. "What's with the sudden visit?"

She glanced at Hunter then smiled happily at her grandmother. "Hunter and I wanted to tell you that we are getting married."

Her grandmother's face fell. "What?"

Hunter cleared his throat as he squeezed their hands together once more. "I wanted your precious granddaughter to be my wife. I'll cherish her forever."

Her grandmother's face turned serious. "Can you leave us for a moment?" She said to Hunter. He just nodded. As he left, her grandmother inhale deeply. "Isn't this too early for the both of you? Marriage is not something to take granted for."

"Grandma..." Annabella walk towards her and hugged her on the side. "We love each other and I am too old already for not to understand why I wanted to get married." Then she tightens her hug. "I am going to be fine. Please trust me."

Her grandmother inhale deeply again. "Sorry but I am honestly not yet ready to give my blessings for the both of you."

Her heart tugged in pain then she made a space between them. "I understand Grandma but we are going to marry even you still don't approve my relationship with him." That surprised her grandmother. "And we are here not to really ask your blessing because I already decided about this but I only wanted you to be the first to know this important thing for me because I love you." Annabella inhale deeply. "Grandma, I love Hunter. All my life, I followed you because you are dear to me but I had this emptiness." She placed a hand on her chest. "Deep in here and after meeting him, that emptiness is no longer here. I feel special. I feel well loved. I feel complete."

Her grandmother's face seems not to accept any her words. "Tell me honestly, are you pregnant?"

She quickly shakes her head. If her grandmother only knew her condition and how understanding Hunter is. "We are going to start our family once we got married." Then she hold her grandmother's hands. "Give Hunter a chance, Grandma. He maybe not the guy you wanted for me but he is the guy I wanted to be with until whenever. You are the only family I have and I don't want to choose between you and Hunter. Don't make me do it, Grandma. I love you but Hunter is the man that I am going to spend the rest of my life with." Then she bites her lower lip. "I love him, Grandma. So much."

Her grandmother's face finally softens. "My dear, you've only known him for months."

"Grandma, it doesn't matter because in here..." She placed a hand on her chest once more. "I knew that he is the one. There's no time frame or date range required in loving someone. It just hit me." Then her eyes started to get teary. "I really love Hunter, Grandma. I can't imagine myself now being without him."

Her grandmother stared intensely at her until she kissed her forehead. "Alright but I won't still give my approval of him."

She smiled in understanding. "We'll wait but you have to attend our wedding, okay?"

"I'll think about it."

She groan. "Grandma."

Her grandmother chuckled then hugged her. "I love you, dear."

"I love you too."

As Annabella left her grandmother's study room, she saw Hunter standing at the living room and she smiled when he turned around. "How was it?"

"She's still doesn't approve you."

He smirked. "Well, that's not a surprise to me anymore."

Then she closed her eyes as he kissed her temple. "Eventually she'll approve us."

"Yeah, she will."

After they left her grandmother's house, they went next to her parents graves.

"Hello Mom and Dad, see this ring?" Bella waved her hand. "I am getting married." Then her face softens. "I hope that wherever you both are right now, we have your blessings." She looked at Hunter then smiled at him. "This man is going to be my husband soon. Please always guide us."

He smiled as well then kissed her quick before turning their attention back to her parent's graves. "I am not quite sure if you both still remember me, but just like what I said before to the both of you, I'll make your daughter happy."

She got startled. "You talked to them before?"

He grinned then nodded. "It was after I stole a kiss from you."

Her face flush. "How it did happen?"

"They were with Mom that time and I just suddenly blurted out to them that I am going to make you as my wife when I grew up. That I am going to make you happy."

Her face flush more. "You really said that?"

He laugh. "Yeah and they did not take it seriously because they just laugh at me but I was really serious."

Warmth covered her. "You are amazing."

He pinched her nose. "Not that much."

She only pout and decided not to argue with him about it. After they leave the cemetery, they take their dinner at a fancy restaurant. "I'll ask Skylar and Brooke's help for our wedding preparation."

"Go ahead because I won't really be a much help in that aspect."

She giggled then got startled when a beautiful woman came to them. More specifically to Hunter actually. "Hunter? How have you been?" 

His face shows recognition. "Shara?" Then he stands up and Bella felt disgust as he kissed the woman's cheek. "I am good. It's been a long time." Then he smiled as he went beside her and placed his both hands on her shoulders. "This is Bella, by the way. My fiancée."

The woman got surprised but immediately smiled. "Oh hello there!" The woman extended her hand so in courtesy, Bella accepted it. "I am Shara. Hunter's college friend."

Bella smiled awkwardly. Secretly feeling embarrassed because of the way her mind is circling at the moment because of this woman. "Nice to meet you."

Hara smiled back. "Me too!" Then she looked at Hunter. "See you soon!"

When Hara exited the restaurant, Bella looked at Hunter as he went back on sitting. "What does she mean on seeing you soon?"

He chuckled. "Most probably she'll visit The Fortress anytime soon."

She found herself snorting. "Whatever."

He smirked then grasped her hand on the table. "Jealous, baby?"

Her face flush when she realized why she acted and feel irritated because of the woman. "Why would I?"

He grinned. "You're being cute."

She rolled her eyes. "Jerk."

And he just keep on teasing her at the entire time they had their dinner. After of few days, while Hunter is working at The Fortress, Skylar and Brooke visited Bella.

"Oh this is so exciting! Wedding date, check! Wedding theme, check! Number of attendees, check! Wedding program, check! Now we should focus on finding a gown for you."

She heard Brooke said but she only nodded as something is currently occupying her mind.

"Bella!" She winced as Skylar's voice almost breaks her eardrum. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

She pout. "Nothing."

Both of them raised an eyebrow. "Spill it."

She groan. "I feel so ashamed of myself."

"Why?"

"I am over thinking because of that woman."

"The college friend of Hunter?"

She nodded. "Hunter sent me a message that the woman is coming over tonight at The Fortress and I just really don't like to think that they'll see each other again."

"Did she do something to make you feel that?"

She shakes her head. "I only met her that night and from then, I always feel uneasy every time I think about her."

"Does Hunter know this?"

She pout again. "Of course not. This is so childish." Then she sigh. "Maybe I was just really feeling bitchy with her because she was with him when I wasn't." Then her face flush when her friends burst out laughing. "I hate you both."

"You were just feeling jealous."

"I agree. When we talked to Devin before, he said that Hunter was really a babe magnet. Most women during their school days were really into him."

She bites her lower lip. "Is it okay to feel like this?"

They rolled their eyes. "Of course! Little jealousy in a relationship is okay as long as it won't eat you alive."

"Just make sure that Hunter will know everything what goes in your mind. Because sometimes men were really clueless if a bitch is flirting with them."

Then they suddenly hugged her. "Our little bitch here is already grown up!"

"True! We really should throw a bridal shower party!"

She laugh. "I am not quite sure if Hunter will like it."

"Whether he approves it or not, we are going to do it nonetheless."

She chuckled then looked at them. "I wonder how still many women who knew him that I'll meet in the future."

They giggled. "You own his heart so you shouldn't get worried about it."

"Correct!"

Bella only inhale deeply. Well, that's what matters most anyway. After her friends left, her phone rings and smiled to see Clarke's name on the screen. "Holla Hobbit!"

She chuckled. "Yo Darth Vader."

He laugh. "Chase and I will spend our holidays there until your wedding day."

She gasped. "Really?!" 

"Yes and we wanted to formally meet your soon to be husband. We wanted to know him more."

That excites her. "Sure. I'll tell him."

"See you soon!"

She smiled again. "See you."

Later on, when Hunter arrived, Bella is already sleeping and she groan softly as he pulled her against him. "Sweet dreams, baby."

She only smiled upon hearing his murmur. As the morning comes, Bella cheerfully prepare breakfast for Hunter until her chest pound hard when arms wrapped around her waist. "Good morning."

"Morning, baby." Then he placed his chin on her shoulder. "I missed you."

She smiled. Technically, he was already staying at her apartment minus his pets and for the past nights, she was already sleeping whenever he arrived. "I missed you too." After he kissed her temple, he went to the refrigerator then she cleared her throat. "How's your friend visit last night?"

"Shara?" She nodded casually. "It's fine I guess. We only talked briefly because I was busy. Holidays are coming so I need to finalize all events as I don't want to get busy before our wedding."

She stopped for a moment until small tears formed on her eyes. She was being anxious for nothing. Yeah, why she was worrying about other woman that knows him? Like what her friends, she holds Hunter's heart. She immediately blinked her eyes then get cheerful as she start to fix the table. "Chase and Clarke are going to spend their holidays here."

He nodded. "Guess they'll not be staying here?"

She chuckled. "Yeah." Then she gasped as she found herself on his lap. "You surprised me. By the way, Skylar and Brooke will accompany me tomorrow to check for a wedding gown."

He grinned then squeezed her against him. "Can I join?"

She pout. "No."

He smirked. "I'll just wait then."

She giggled then wrapped her arms around his neck and placed her face against his. "I love you Hunter."

He cupped her face then kissed the tip of her nose. "And so do I." Then he stared at her. "You already know that we will stick together until whenever, right?"

She stared back at him until she smiled happily. "Yeah."
