•chapter 2•Miranda's POV
It's been a day since I moved into this house with my mother. I'm not exactly used to it yet because it's so different from Vancouver but I'll get there eventually.
I was in the living room watching reruns of The Vampire Diaries. Stefan is so beautiful it's way too hard to believe.
"Miranda, can you come here for a second?" My mother called out from the kitchen. I paused the episode, and walked to the kitchen to see my mother in an apron, she looked crazy, caked in flour and her hair looked a mess.
"Woah, mom what's going on?" I asked, as confusion took over my face.
"I was baking cookies, and I want you to deliver them to our neighbors." She explained. Why does she have to be so damn nice?
"Moomm, I want cookies! How dare you forget to make cookies for your daughter?!" I dramatically stated.
"Oh don't be so dramatic. I would deliver them myself but I look a mess, so can you please be the best daughter ever and deliver my delicious cookies to our wonderful neighbours!" She continued.
"Fine, but only if you make me cookies too," I gave in, as she handed the container full of cookies over to me. These cookies smell like heaven.
"Deal," She agreed.
I didn't feel the need to change, because I was dressed in my sweats and a graphic tee, so I put on my white converse and headed towards the door.
"I'll be back!" I called out before shutting the door and starting my walk to the neighbours next door.
I hesitated, before ringing the doorbell. Their 2-story, brick house was beautiful as well and the garden was full of pretty flowers.
Seconds later the door swung open, and the last person I expected to open this door was standing in front of me.
Kevin aka Jerk with Anger Problems.
What the hell.
"Well look who it is," Kevin muttered loud enough for me to hear. I was a little too shocked to answer. " It's Miss. I- can't- watch- where- I'm-going". That remark immediately snapped me out of my trance.
"Not so nice to see you again, Mr. I'm-an-angry-bird- and-i-need-help." I snapped, earning a glare in return.
"So are you like stalking me or something? I know I look good and all but can I help you?" He asked arrogantly. Why is he so cocky?
"I would never in a million years even dream of stalking you, so please do me a favor and lose the cocky attitude, it doesn't look good on you." I glared.
"Someone's in denial. But you're cute when your mad so please continue." He smiled. I am not in denial, and wait a milisecond, did he just call me cute? I could feel my face getting hot. I guess you could say that I don't take compliments very well.
"Aww she's blushes too," he cooed while leaning on the door frame. He is enjoying this way too much. But his smile makes me want to melt.
Miranda stop falling for his charm!
Dammit! See what he's doing to me.
"Look, sadly you're my neighbor and my mom sent me here to bring you this." I said holding out the cookies.
"Ooh cookies!" His whole face lit up and he looked like a five year old who had just found the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Kevin snatched the container out of my hand, his fingers brushed mine, and jolts of electricity shot up my veins.
"Tell your mom I said thanks," he stated, while looking at the freshly baked cookies.
"Okay," I replied while making my way down the steps.
"You're so short." He looked me up from head to toe as I stopped in my tracks.
"Or maybe you're just too tall," I retorted.
"Maybe," he shrugged. I rolled my eyes in reply.
"You don't exactly look your best today. Why are you wearing sweats? It's hot out here." He asked.
Ouch.
That's definitely not what a girl wants to here from a guy who resembles a sexy Greek god. I guess he's back to being an asshole."You don't exactly have the right to question what I wear because I can wear whatever I want." I grew mad.
"Woah, calm down shorty! I was just saying that you could look a little better no need to get crazy." He replied, a goofy smile painting his lips.
I think he's stupid.
Don't you think so too?
He basically just insulted me not once, but twice, and if he expects me to be calm about it, then he's got another thing coming for him.
"I don't understand why you have to be so rude all the time? Please just tell me did someone pee in your cereal this morning because it's crazy how you can go from somewhat nice to rude in a matter of seconds. You know what? I don't care anymore. Just enjoy the cookies," I ranted, before storming off and stepping inside of my house.
I hope he chokes on them. I would've said it out loud but I decided against it because I'm not as rude as him.
I made my way back into the living room, when I saw that my mom wasn't in the kitchen so I pressed play and continued watching The Vampire Diaries.
I think Kevin enjoys making fun of me and getting mad at me because he likes to get a reaction. There are times where I want to punch him and times where I wanna pinch his cheeks because his smile is just so adorable. But his personality sucks! And why the hell does he have to be my neighbor? This is such a stupid coincidence.
In a way he's like mother nature. When he's happy and cocky that means it's sunny. When hes flirty and cute its windy and partly sunny. When he's mad, angry and rude it's a freaking thunderstorm.
For godsake, I wish it was sunny and windy all the time.
A/N: Ayo! Second chapter is up. So.. what do you think? Kevin is her Neighbor!!! Holy Shiz. I wish it was sunny and windy all the time too, just so that I could see Kevin's heartstopping smile.
