•chapter 7•
Miranda's POV
I can't sleep. This is a very big problem because firstly I have school tomorrow and when I don't get my sleep you're gonna wish you never met me.
I checked the time on my digital clock to see that it was 1:10 am.
I couldn't sleep for one reason and one reason only. It's because of the boy next door.
Starts with a K, ends with an N.
Yeah, remember him?
After he caught me today, I couldn't get him out of my mind. The way his hands felt around my waist seemed like a perfect puzzle piece. The way his beautiful green eyes were staring at me made my insides warm.
What the hell is wrong with me?
I turned to my right and peeked through my window and saw that his light was on in his room.
What was he doing up? Maybe he can't sleep, like me.
I got out of bed and walked to my bathroom to splash some water across my face. I stared back at my reflection and noticed my eyes were starting to get red from lack of sleep.
UGH! I need sleep and I need it now.
I shut the door to my bathroom and climbed back into my bed. I wonder what Kevin's doing right now?
Why can't he sleep? It definitely can't be because of me, right?
Even though he denies it, I know him and Stella have something, it's actually kind of obvious, with the way she clings onto him like a leech.
It doesn't matter though because if we were ever gonna be anything, it'd be friends. Only friends.
The sudden movement from the window next to mine caused me to turn my head. Kevin was getting out of his bed and grabbing his phone off his desk which was on the other side of his room.
He was shirtless.
And pant-less(he was wearing boxers, calm down).
Good god.
I would not be surprised if he was a model undercover at a high school. His abs were way too noticeable and his muscles.. don't get me started on this man's muscles. I know I seem like a stalker, but I can't help it! What would you do if your neighbor was hot and shirtless and you had the chance to look at him through your window?
Yeah, that's what I thought.
He walked to his drawer and slipped on a pair of black shorts. Before climbing back into his bed, he looked out his window and our gazes met but I swiftly turned my head.
I may have been acting like a stalker but he didn't need to know that.
He already caught you Miranda.
I know and that's what's embarrasing.
After checking the time-2:15- I turned my lamp off and tried to sleep. I really hope that things won't be awkward tomorrow when I see Kevin, but I can already tell that my hope was slowly running on thin ice because..
1. He touched me and we had an intimate moment, kinda.
2. He caught me staring at him shirtless at 2 in the morning.
I guess I can only hope for the best, and those were my last thoughts as I silently drifted off into a quiet slumber.
