•chapter 9•
Miranda's POV
"Oh my gosh, Nick get away from her!"I shouted at the t.v screen. I am currently watching reruns of The Fosters in my room.
Nick was hiding in Marianas house all along. He's crazy.
"Ugh, somebody needs to come in the room," I yelled again at the screen. Nick is in Marianas room and he's crying his eyes out because he knows he's going to jail. Now he's holding a gun to his head.
"Miranda, you do know they can't hear you, right?" A voice came from outside of my window. I paused the episode and walked to my windowsill to see Kevin..shirtless.
"Yes, but it makes me feel better and sometimes I think they can actually hear me because they do exactly as I say," I explained, trying to keep my eyes on his face and not his chest.
"Oh, ok I get it now. So you're still coming to the dinner, right?" He asked.
"What makes you think I'm not?" I asked, while leaning against the windowsill.
"I don't know, the dinner is in less than an hour and you're still not ready." He asked while looking me up and down. I was still in my sweats and a sweater.
"Wait what! What time is it?" I yelled.
"6:01," he stated, while smiling.
Shit! I didn't even bother to check the time. Ughh!!
"Okay, I gotta go get ready now, bye!" I quickly yelled before shutting my window and running to my bathroom.
I hopped in the shower and washed my body and hair before jumping out and wrapping a towel around me. I brushed my teeth once more before running to my closet in search of something to wear.
Wait a minute, what the hell am I suppose to wear?
Casual?
Formal?
UGHH!
I decided to go with a simple black dress. It's tight against my bust and stomach area and flows out towards my thighs. It stops before mid-thigh. I paired the dress with my white blazer.
Pretty cute, if you ask me.
I threw on my black ballet flats, and put a bracelet around my wrist.
For makeup, I lined my eyes with black eyeliner and put on a coat of mascara. I coated my lips with pink lipgloss.
After getting my makeup done, I plugged in my flat iron and waited for it to heat up. I checked the time on my phone and it was 6:35. Can the time go any slower, jeez.
I quickly started straightening my long brown hair, being careful not to burn myself.
"Miranda, hurry up we're about to leave," my mom called from downstairs.
"I'm almost done," I called back.
A couple minutes later, I finished straightening my hair, so I grabbed my phone and purse and rushed down the stairs.
"Oh good, you're done let's go," My mom said while putting on her heels. I opened the door and stepped out, my mom closed the door and we walked on over to the Brewers household.
My mom ringed the doorbell, and seconds later the door swung open revealing a girl, who looked just like Kevin.
"Hey, come on in," the girl said while opening the door a little wider. We obliged and walked in.
"Hi, I'm Emma it's nice to meet you guys," the girl introduced.
"Hi, I'm Miranda, it's nice to meet you too," I politely replied.
