Le'annaMarie's POV
Friday night came by fast. When I got home from school, I took care of Carter, did my homework and once I finished, I jumped in the shower. I wanted to go to dinner wearing something cute and casual. I put on a simple gray dress that had a cross decoration across the chest, a black pullover with black sandals. I added some cute jewelry and put my hair in light curls.
"Le'annaMarie, you ready?" Dad shouted from downstairs. Gees, time flew by- its six o'clock already!
"Yes!" I said as I grabbed my purse out the closet.
"Lord...I hope and pray this night goes well." I said to myself in the mirror before heading downstairs.

On our way there, I kept rehearsing what I would say if my parents tried to disagree with the deal. I had to convince them that this is my only chance to prove to people that I am my own person. My own artist. My chance to prove that I can make it in the music business without being someone I'm not. It could be my chance to tell them what I realy feel inside.
If I believe in myself, they should believe in me.

"This house is huge!" Carter shouted after dad rung the doorbell.
"I know, it's very nice." Mom said as she looked around the front yard.
"Look at this yard, fountain and stone path..." Dad said.
"I know..." Mom said.
"I wish." He said and few seconds later, Miles opened the door dressed in his casual business clothes.
"Welcome Smith family!" He said with a smile, "come on in. You can leave you shoes on, we're just going into the dining room."
"This house is amazing, very beautiful." My mom said and dad agreed.
"Thank you but allow me to introduce myself. I'm Miles Houston, the music producer. I have a studio here in Sacramento and in L.A. and trying to open another one soon, not sure where." He explained and we all nodded our heads.
"Nice, nice. I'm Tony Simmons and this is my wife, Robin and our son, Carter."
"Hi...Mr. Miles, do you have dessert?" Carter asked.
"Carter, we just got here-" Mom warned.
"Oh, the kid is fine. Le'annaMarie always talks about him. He is really funny! But yes, we do have dessert." Miles said and I laughed when Carter smiled big.
"Let's move into the dining room for dinner..."

"Tonight's menu is boneless, homeade baked or fried chicken, red potatoes and french style green beans." Miles said.
"Sounds delicious." Dad said as we received plates from the chef.
"And for you, Mr. Carter, creme brulee." Miles said and Carter tilted his head in confusion.
"Or chocolate chip cookies and a sundae for you..." Miles said.
"Yes!" Carter threw a fist in the air.
"You know you can only get dessert if you finish all that food on your plate, Carter." Mom said.
"Yes, ma'am." Carter said and he dug in his food.
"So let's get down to business, Mr. and Mrs. Simmons. I invited your family over tonight because I offered your daughter a deal-"
"What kind of deal?" Dad asked before he took a bite out of his chicken.
