Andréas's POV
*The Next Morning*
I woke up in LeMarie's living room, on the couch. I honestly don't even remember coming out here. I get up and check my phone for any notifications. Turns out I had missed calls and text from Ortiz, Aunt Cecilia, and Aubrey. I checked Aubrey's first.
Aubrey: hey! Do you think you can watch Jacob for me this afternoon?
Me: what's up? No problem at all
Aubrey: thank you!
Me: 👍🏼
My other text messages were just about Cecelia and Rico having a family dinner tomorrow night and they were wondering if I would come. I told everyone that I'd be there.
It would be great if Le'annaMarie could join me...
I get up and head to her room. I find that she is still asleep. I think.
"LeMarie?" I leaned against the wall.
"Hmm..." She was laying on her stomach then she rolled over and stretched. When she lifted her arms above her head, her sweatshirt rose up, exposing her beautiful curves. I forced my eyes not to stare but it was so hard not to. She eventually ended up on her back and her eyes fluttered open.
"Good morning, beautiful." I said and I see her smile.
"Good morning!" She said, more to the ceiling. I laughed a little.
"I was so tired," She looked over at me with a deadpan expression, "but that medicine and prayer did miracles!" She sat up and rubbed her eyes. She smiled and waved me over. I sat across from her and held her hand.
"I'm glad you're doing better. I hated seeing you like that." I said.
"Well thank you and I am too! So I was wondering if you had any plans today?"
"Nope. I don't go back to work until Monday so I'm free."
"Well, I'm gonna go see my parents and Carter today-"
"Man! I haven't seen Carter in a minute. What's he up to?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing. Just being cute as ever." She said and we both laughed.
"But he's good. What about your little brother, Jacob?" She asked.
"He's great. Aubrey actually texted me this morning to see if I was free to watch him this afternoon..."
"Are you going to?" She asked curiously.
"Yeah."
"Yea! Since you don't have any plans, bring Jacob over with you to my parent's house. Him and Carter can play together, it'll be fun. If that's what you wanna do." She shrugged.
"Sounds good. It'll be cool for them..." I said. I hesitated to say my next sentence.
"As for my parents, or should I say my dad..." She rose an eyebrow, "how do you feel?"
"He doesn't like me does he?" I said, half-serious and half-joking.
"Andréas, he doesn't know you yet. You are such an amazing person- he'd be crazy not to like you," I grinned, "the night of our first "date", he was just being overprotective as usual. He is really friendly and goofy and he has a heart- trust me." She said.
"Okay...but let me ask you this. Does he know about the night of our first "date"? When we kissed..." I asked then she blushed and laughed.
"What?"
"You know, we never addressed that kiss..." She smiled. I shook my head and grinned.
"Sorry, babe. It was a hormonal move-"
"I'm weak!"
"-you were so beautiful that night. I had a huge crush on you and I wanted to kiss you so bad. But I probably shouldn't have done it because he knows, right?" She nodded, "great, he knows that some low-life teenager kissed his innocent daughter-"
"Oh, André, stop. Just stop. It was never a big deal. He never brought up again and he wasn't mad. Nor was my mom. And don't call yourself a low-life. That is the exact opposite of what you are and you know that." She poked my chest lightly and frowned.
"You're right...I'm sorry." I threw up my hands and she laughed.
"No but really that was...a great first kiss," She admitted, "I gotta say..." She said, smiling again.
"Well if I'm being honest, I didn't want to stop kissing you-"
"Ha! The truth comes out! I thought you hated me after that night!" She laughed.
"No, I could never hate you. If anything, it made me like you more. I was just...a mess back then," I said and she shook her head, "but you made me better. You continue to make me better." I said truthfully.
"As you do for me," She patted my hand and stood up, "well I'm gonna throw something else on for today..." She began to take off her sweatshirt, again, exposing her soft stomach, and then yelped.
"What happened?" I asked looking at her as she crossed her arms. She closed her eyes and giggled a little.
"I forgot...I only have on a bra under this..." She nodded her head slowly.
"Oh wow, you were about to flash me."
"Yep."
"Geesh, Le'annaMarie, we've only been dating a few days-"
"Shut up!" She threw back her head and laughed, "now go so I can change, silly." She said and I laughed. I closed the door behind me and went to go shower in her other bathroom. After I'm out the shower, I throw on a pair of jeans then knock on her door.
"Yes?" LeMarie asked.
"You have an extra toothbrush? And toothpaste?"
"Oh, hold on." She opens the door and she walked to her bathroom.
"Here is a toothbrush and..." She froze when she saw my bare chest. Yeah, I did that intentionally. "toothpaste." She began to turn red in the face and looked down and smiled shyly.
"What's the matter?" I smirked, crossing my arms.
"Um, you're...ha! Nothing." She walked up to me and she avoided eye contact. She handed me what I need and I caught her hand.
"You can't even look at me." I laughed.
"You're just too fine," She finally makes eye contact, "you're just way too fine," She took one last lingering look, "uh-uh. Go. You need to go put on a shirt. You did that on purpose." She began to guide me out the room and I laughed again. She closed the door so she could finish getting ready and I went to go brush my teeth.
***
"You ready?" LeMarie asked about ten minutes later.
"Yep, on the couch." I answered. She came out the room in a casual light pink dress and tan sandals.
"Ready, also." She smiled.
"You look..." I said, shaking my head and grinning, "more than amazing." I got off the couch.
"Thank you and you don't look too bad yourself." She said as I walk up to her. She began to smile. She knew what was comin'.
"You're just way too fine." I mimicked her words and she rolls her eyes. Then in swift move, I pulled her close and kissed her.
