Le'annaMarie's POV

Once Veronica had finished my hair, my look was complete- she was really good at wardrobe. While she helped me get ready, we got to know each other. I found out she is actually twenty-five, single and a proud graduate of Santa Monica College. She is originally from New Jersey, and she and her little brother were raised by her father when her mom left them for someone else when she was three. She told me she always wanted to live in California and do what she loved- be a fashionista and makeup artist for celebrities.

She has gotten to meet the biggest in names in the business from Rihanna, to Chris Brown and even Madonna. She really loves what she does and really loves getting to meet new people. I can tell we are going to be good friends.

"Alright, gorgeous, you are set! Let's get ready to go, we are running about two minutes behind." She said as I stood up.

"Thank you! You did so good!" I said as I gave myself one more look-over in the mirror.

"No problem! Let's go, Miles in waiting for us in the limo." She informed me and when she said it she was smiling at her phone.

"You're real smiley..." I teased.

"What, no! I-I was-"

"I'm kidding. Let's go." I said and she she sighed with relief and smiled. We got in the limo and Miles greeted us with some drinks and snacks. I just grabbed a water- these butterflies in my stomach took away my appetite.

"Love the new look, LeMarie! And Roni you look great, too." Miles complimented us both but gave Veronica a wink that made her blush.

"This is not my best look." Veronica laughed nervously.

"Stop it, Roni, you always look good." She shook her head with a smile that only I caught.

"So about this meeting. You will assigned to Master Records- it's done. We are just gonna discuss their policies and much more that is to come for you, LeMarie. Are you excited?" He asked with a smile.

"Yeah I am, but even more excited that I have you two to help me with it all. Thanks guys." They smiled.

"So the agenda for this year," Veronica spoke up with her MacBook in her hands. I didn't miss the way Miles looked at her with an amused look on his face.

"You have the Music Conference- hosted by P. Diddy- on June 17th, your two radio talkshows both in June and July- talking about your rise in stardom, and of course, recording the rest of your album which will be released on August 1st of this year. And in between all your responsibilities, you'll of course have parties and gatherings, shopping and dates, hopefully. Any questions, comments or concerns?" Veronica asked.

"Nope, just tryna breathe as I take this all in." I said and they chuckled. I was being serious though. And when she said 'dates', I felt something in my heart...almost like betrayal towards a certain someone.

We arrived at an huge, prominent-looking building where the meeting was scheduled for in give minutes. We rushed out the limo and made our way inside. As we we're heading towards the elevator, I had to keep my composure as we walked passed Sevyn Streeter. I nearly screamed until I covered my mouth.

"Hey, Sevyn." Miles said and she waved and smiled.

"Hey, you're the new rising star, Le'annaMarie. You are really talented- keep it up, girl." She smiled to me then walked out with two big men, who I'm assuming were her bodyguards.

"Oh my gosh, Sevyn Streeter just complimented me!" I whisper-shouted as we we're on the elevator going to the fifteenth floor.

"I'm telling you LeMarie, people love you. I've made sure that many artist have heard your songs- that we recorded so far- by social media, YouTube. You're gettin' up there." Miles said and Veronica nodded in agreement.

We got off the elevator and followed Miles into the conference room. We were greeted by James "The Master" Ross and other important figures. We took a seat and the meeting began.

"Good afternoon everyone, I just want to start this meeting off by introducing the one and only, Le'annaMarie Simmons I just want you to know, sweetheart, that after this day, you will be made a legend."

"Wasn't too bad right?" Miles said as we drove uptown to go get lunch.

"Not at all. I'm really thrilled about all of this, honestly." I said.

"Awesome." Miles grinned. I suddenly had got a FaceTime call from Haley.

"OMG! I have to answer this call! It's my best friend and it'll be really quick- I promise."

"No problem, girl- go ahead and answer." Miles said as he texted on his phone. Veronica wasn't really paying attention as she was typing on her MacBook so I pressed answer.

"LeMarie!!!! Ah, you look gorgeous!" Haley said with a big smile, " though you just left like yesterday, I still miss you because I know you're not here."

"Hays, you know I feel the same. I miss you too! I just came out of this meeting with the record label- there is so much information I'll fill you in with later but for now let's just say it went great- it was long- but it went great."

"Aww, where you headed now? I'm gonna hang with the drill team girls; the boardwalk." She said and I smiled thinking about all the countless times the girls and I had hung out there together.

"Well, Miles, my new friend and wardrobe designer, Veronica, and I are going to lunch- nor sure where."

"Food sounds great right now. I'm gonna make spaghetti." Haley said with a serious face.

"Haley, what?" I laughed.

"What? Spaghetti sounds amazing right now."

"You're hilarious- I'm gonna miss you, but I'll definitely make efforts to plan a day for the two of us soon."

"You better- either I come there or you come here- preferably the first one!" Haley said.

"Okay...well is it alright if I go?" I asked.

"Of course- I just wanted to check up on you. But I'll talk to you later. Byeee..."

"Bye, girl." I hung up and Miles looked up from his phone.

"We're here...Who's starving?"

Author's Note: So honestly- as you can probably tell- I know nothing about the music business and how it goes or what it's like. So if information I put out is not accurate that's not the most important part of the story so give me a break, LOL! I might be skipping through certain things like not going into super detail (just like I did with this chapter with the meeting) but for the most part that stuff does not really pertain to the story that much. So thank you!
