Le'annaMarie's POV
I went back inside after Andréas left. I smiled through the rest of my graduation party up until everyone left. I asked Haley to stay longer so I could talk to her.
"What happened? How did the talk go?" She asked as we helped cleaned the backyard while my parents washed dishes.
"Andréas told me everything that he needed to tell me...and it's personal stuff, so-"
"Don't worry. You don't have to tell me anything about his business." Haley said and I nodded with a thankful smile.
"But then Andréas had asked when I was leaving for L.A. and when I told him he started saying how he couldn't make it without me. I told him he has to stay strong and find happiness within himself. Then he was saying how he needs me and I wasn't ready for him to say anything like, "he loves me" or something. I'm leaving Wednesday and I don't want confusion or distractions right now...I'm not ready to hear that yet..." I said.
"I understand...I'm sorry, girl." Haley said.
"I left him, no hug just a simple 'goodbye'. I hope he doesn't hate me."
"Oh you can forget that! Andréas is in love with you for crying out loud! You just can't see it because you are focused which there is nothing wrong with that." Haley said and I rolled my eyes at her silly claim about Andréas loving me.
"Love is a complex word." I said. Also, a word I'm scared of when it comes to boys.
"It will be alright...I'm sorry for doing that, I just wanted to help." Haley said.
"It's okay, don't be sorry. I needed that to happen. So if anything, thank you." I said and she smiled small. We were about finished outside, threw away the trash in the dumpster and went inside.
"So. Are you ready for L.A.?" Haley asked.
"I am." I said.
"I gonna miss my baby. But I know she is going to do great things." Dad hugged me and kissed my head causing me to smile shyly.
"Oh I know it, Mr. Simmons." Haley said with a grin.
"Come on and go take a shower, Carter. Did you enjoy the party, LeMarie?" Mom asked me.
"Yes, it was great. Thank you, guys!" I said.
"Of course, sweetie. But I'm tired and I need to shower so I'll see you upstairs. Bye, Haley." Mom hugged her.
"Bye, Mr. And Mrs. Simmons. See you guys Wednesday. I'll be here to say my goodbyes to LeMarie before she is off slaying the music business." She said and we all laughed.
"Well, I'll see you, Hays." I said as she was walking out the door.
"Bye, girl. Text me if you need anything, okay?" She said turning around to face me.
"I will." I said and she smiled. I watched her as she pulled off then closed the door. I went upstairs and took a shower myself and got ready for bed. I was tired and wanted to just needed sleep after everything that happened with Andréas. I laid down, prayed then closed my eyes. But, I was so excited for and kept thinking about Wednesday, that I didn’t fall asleep until one in the morning.

*Wednesday Morning*
"You got everything you need?" Mom asked for the twentieth time as we walked out the house.
"Yes, momma. I'm set, thank you." I said as dad and Miles helped me load my things in Miles's personal limousine.
"Okay. You got that mace? Keep your phone on ringer just in case..." Mom said with seriousness.
