Andréas's POV
I laid in my bed and thought about today. Today was a good day. I took a chance and drove Le'annaMarie- along with her funny little brother- home and I'm surprised she actually let me. I wasn't going to let her walk by herself in the heat and I just wanted to get closer to her. The drive to her house was cool and not as awkward as I thought, however, I held back a smile when I heard her friend Haley shouting through the phone about asking if I'm single. As they left, Carter called me 'sir' which is something I'm not use to but I'm glad the boy has manners.
I was reluctant about giving her my phone number so I could text her in the morning so I just gave her the number to Pablo's Auto Body. I mean, this is just me fixing her car- its business. Not anything personal.

The next morning I left the apartment around seven in the morning for work then around eight forty-five, Pablo and I left the shop to go pick up Le'annaMarie's car.
"Wow, this is a nice neighborhood." Pablo said as we drove down the street.
"I know." I said.
"Is this the house?" He asked.
"Yeah." We pulled up and Pablo got out the car and knocked on her front door. A tall man answered the door with a slightly confused look on his face the called out to someone in the house. A minute later, Le'annaMarie came to the door in a tight gray jacket and short, Nike shorts with a bright smile. It was an early morning but with her energy she had, it seemed to me she that she was an earlybird. She signed a paper and followed behind Pablo while handing him her keys.
Pablo tested the car to see what was wrong and it also gave up on him."Let's take this baby in!" Pablo said with a wide smile as he got out the car and handed her keys back.
"Thank you so much." Le'annaMarie said. She turned, saw me in the truck and waved. I waved back as Pablo got in the front seat.
"Oh, Andréas, es bonita! And so respectful...she seems nice- don't lose her." Pablo said and I thought to myself, how could I lose someone that isn't mine and will probably never be mine?

*One hour later*
We got to the shop and we find out that her car needs an oil change and she has a dead battery so we go ahead and give her car an oil change and replace the battery.
"Hey, Andréas! Some girl is here to see you!" Another worker named, Joe, yelled as I was doing the oil change. I wiped the grease off my hands on a rag and was about to throw my uniform shirt back on but I didn't feel like it so I instead went to the front in my dirty white tee.
Le'annaMarie was standing at the counter and when she saw me, she smiled widely and waved.
"Hi Andréas." She said making direct eye contact.
"Hey, what are you doin' here- not that it's a problem but your car shouldn't be done for about another 45 minutes." I told her.
"Haley dropped me off. I don't have to work, no homework, nothing to actually do this morning so I thought I'd come by and see you," That made me feel some type of way inside, "and I wanna see what you do here." She shrugged with a light smile. I stared in her eyes and simply nodded.
"I know it's weird but I'm bored and I just wanna kill time before my plans with family this evening." She added.
"I mean, that's totally fine with me and should be with Pablo." I said.
"Alright! Well show me what you do!" She said excitedly.
"It's not much, but..." I mumbled and gestured for her to follow me. I opened up the door for her as we went into the garage and she asked me to explain some things about cars she never knew about.
"Pretty cool. You know a lot, Mr. Smart-Stuff." She grinned at me as I changed the battery. Good she couldn't see me smile like an idiot just now.
"You could say that, I guess." Is my response.

About a half and hour later, her car was finished and it was good to take home.
"Go ahead and give it a try." Pablo said and Le'annaMarie smiled and nodded. She turned on the car and it started perfectly fine.
"Wow, thank you so much. You guys are good and you got this done so fast!" She said happily.
"Doesn't usually take that long, sweetheart." Pablo said with a small smile.
"Well, I wouldn't know that because I know nothing about cars and repair." She said with a little laugh and Pablo chuckled as well.
"Well you enjoy your day, Ms. Simmoms. Nice meeting you- you're a really sweet girl." Pablo said shaking her hand.
"Thank you as well and it was nice meeting you too!" She said as Pablo walked away with a goofy smile on his face. She got out the car and started walking back in the front of the shop.
"Where you goin'?" I asked.
"I gotta pay." Le'annaMarie said with slight confusion.
"Oh, that. It's on us. Don't worry about it." I said.
"Oh, no. I have cash with me and enough with me this time! Really it's not-"
"No, really it's not a big deal. We got the bill covered. Please just go home and don't worry about it." I said in a gentle voice so she wouldn't take it the wrong way.
"Gosh, you are such good people. Thank you so much and tell your cousin I said 'thank you' as well." She said greatfully and she got back in her car.
"You're welcome." I said like it was no big deal.
"Do you guys do this for all your customers?" She looked up out the window and asked me.
"Of course not...only one's that we like. And who are respectful and good people, like you." I said and she smiled. Wasn't really true; we give discounts but rarely do we pay for a customer's repairs. Something in me always wanted to help her.
"Thank you. I'll see you at school on Monday, Andréas." She said.
"I'll see you as well. Have a nice day." I said and she waved as she pulled away.
