*One week later*
Le'annaMarie's POV
Friday night came fast and Haley was getting ready to go back home. This week we had done something each night. First it was the movies on Saturday, then church and the boardwalk on Sunday. Then Monday and Tuesday after work we went Christmas shopping for our families. Christmas eve and Christmas was great. There is nothing I love more than quality time with my family.
Anyways, after working and doing all the holiday shopping, I was happy to have a break to hang out with Andréas. I admit I was nervous because I've never hung out with a boy outside of school before but I knew that I would be okay. We would be okay. Besides, I'm thrilled to wear this new outfit that Haley helped me pick out for tonight.
I had on a short, black skater skirt, an off-the-shoulder marron sweater with a cami underneath, thin stockings- heard it's supposed to rain- and brown booties. I added a gold necklace and my favorite gold ring with, music notes engraved around it, that my grandma gave me.
"Babe, you look incredible. You're so pretty." Haley smiled at me after took my hair out of my scarf. I gotta make sure my hair looks good so I wrapped it up while I took a shower and got ready.
"Thank you..." I said as I was brushing out my hair.
"You sure you don't want any makeup- not that you need it because you're already gorgeous- but you know you can never go wrong with a little mascara, eyeliner, or lip gloss..." Haley said holding up her makeup bag.
"No I'm fine..." Then I took a second thought, "well maybe lip gloss." I said.
"Okay!" She happily dug for a shiny pink lip gloss. She handed it to me and I applied a light coat. I rubbed my lips together then checked my teeth in the mirror.
"Do I look-"
*Ding-dong*
"He's here." Haley wiggled her eyebrows.
"Oh no- dad!...I'll get it!" I grabbed my purse and shoes and ran as fast as I could downstairs- with Haley following behind- before my dad could get the door. This is my parent's first time meeting Andréas and I already know how dad will act.
"I'll answer it-" Dad rushed to the door.
"No, no, no. It's okay, daddy," I rushed in front of him,"I got this, thank you...and be nice." I said to him and he stood in front of the stairs with crossed arms.
"Hi, Andréas..." He looked up and smiled at me, "Come... in," I said as I skimmed over him. He looked so good. Not that he never does- because he always looks amazing- but tonight he looked really cleaned up in his casual grey t-shirt and black jeans.
"Hi, Le'annaMarie." He said while walking in.
"Dad, this is my friend, Andréas and this is my dad-"
"Tony Simmons. Nice meeting you," My dad shook his hand firmly.
"You as well, sir." Andréas said politely. Haley came down the stairs with her things and made her way out.
"Bye, girl! Bye Mrs. Robin and Mr. Tony!" She waved and they said bye back, "hi Andréas, bye Andréas!" She smiled widely before walking out the door. I rolled my eyes and giggled.
"It's nice to finally meet you! Le'annaMarie has talked so much about you." My mom said to Andréas.
"It's nice to meet you, too, ma'am." Andréas said at the same time I whispered, "Momma?" Does she have to embarrass me like that? Andréas caught my embarrassment and smirked at me.
