Two days later after the grad party for the class of 2016, I had my own graduation party at my house with all my friends and family. I had cousins, aunts and uncles that came who I haven't seen in forever. Of course, the friends who could come- like Haley and some drill team girls- were here enjoying themselves. The girls who couldn't come were having their own party or had other family who graduated too, which is understandable. Family comes first.

I was glad we had it at my house. Our backyard is a great family-gathering setting. We had a outside kitchen where my dad and Uncle Larry did their grilling, all my friends and all the women chilling on the sofas sitting on the brick patio and all my little cousins- and Carter- played on the grass. I walked around and chatted with everyone I could then grabbed a seat next to Haley on the sofa.

"Hey! I actually, uh...follow me." Haley said grabbing my hand and leading me into the house.

"Where are we going?" I asked as she continued to pull me to the front door.

"Hush, girl!" She laughed and opened the front door. I let go and stood in front of her.

"Stop!" I said holding up my hand, "what are you doin'?" I giggled.

"Well, there is someone who wanted to see you..." She smiled and nudged her head behind me. I turned and saw Andréas leaning against his car with his dark shades on, with a small grin on his face. He was dressed in a nice maroon t-shirt, and dark jeans- he looked great.

"I'll be back." I said.

"I'll let people know you had to... do something real quick- I don't know, just go!" She said swarming her hand around.

"Wish me luck." I whispered and she winked. She went back inside as I walked towards Andréas. He entered through my front-yard fence and made his way beside me.

"Hey." I said looking up at him, feeling so short and small compared to his tall frame.

"Hey. Haley texted me about your party." He leaned on the fence, looking ahead of him.

"Oh okay...So, how are you?" I asked awkwardly. I didn't mean for it to come out sounding awkward but I was actually really nervous.

"I'm alright. How are you?" He looked over at me, his dark shades covering his beautiful eyes that I wanted to see.

"I'm great," I smiled, "why weren't you at the graduation ceremony?"

"I couldn't walk the stage since I missed a significant amount of days of school," I giggled and he grinned while shrugging his shoulder, "but I still got the diploma which is all that matters to me." He said.

"Oh, good. Did you have any celebration of your own for graduation?" I asked.

"Yeah, Ortiz and I had a combined party at my aunt's house. It was cool."

"Good...well, thanks for coming to my grad party. Are you staying?"

"Uh, actually I was coming to congratulate you... congratulations," he said and I laughed, "but I also wanted to talk to you." He said, shifting to a serious tone. He took off his sunglasses and hooked them on his shirt.

"And there is so much I want to say to you also...Andréas I'm so sorry for just storming out that day at your house," he looked at me again with squinted eyes and I leaned on the fence as well, "I didn't even let you explain yourself after your dad told your business. That was not his place to tell me your story, and it was not fair for me to just judge you and run out on you. I feel like...I made you feel like you were this horrible person and I would never want you to feel like that. I thought you didn't want to speak to me because I made you feel bad. I'm so sorry."
