Chapter Five: Brother's Bargain

     Lucy

     BAM BAM BAM!

     I sat up immediately as heavy fists pounded against my window, I looked over to see Lily pounding on the window, almost shattering it before I crawled over Natsu and pulled it open. Lily couldn't stop his last punch so it made full contact with my face, I saw stars and for a few seconds before my vision cleared (A/N: I wish I was there to see that XD). I blinked a few seconds later and saw that Pantherlily was blushing and shouting "I'm sorry" over and over again.

    "OW! MY NOSE! WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT!?" I shouted.

    "What happened to Lucy's nose?" Natsu sat up and looked around, I felt my nose bleeding and Natsu locked eyes with Pantherlily. Yay! My demonic husband to save the day!

    "Bro, what happened? You look like you've just seen a ghost," Natsu said, I felt his words stab into my heart. Is this guy, who used to be called the "Demonic Brain", really this dense!?

    "It's Gajeel," Pantherlily said.

     Natsu raised his hands up defensively, "I PROMISE YOU I DIDN'T BREAK HIS ARM THIS TIME!"

    "Not that you idiot! Acnologia attacked Gajeel! He's in the hospital right now and we need everyone over there right now!"

    "God damn, Lily, how any times does this guy have to get pounded into a pulp- wait. You said Acnologia right?" Natsu said, Lily nodded. Natsu's irises turned to a sizzling red with the whites of his eyes darkening into a sickening black. Pantherlily flinched, his wings almost vanishing while I instinctively caught Natsu's arm and held onto it, just in case if he needs restraints.

    "That bastard has gone too far this time!" Natsu shouted. "NOBODY MESSES WITH MY FAMILY  AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!" Natsu shook off my grip then flung himself out of my grasp and past Lily, the exceed was scared shitless as Natsu leaped out of the room and landed on the ground, veins popped out of his head as his mouth was alight with fire at the back of his throat. He ran down the streets with an inhuman roar following him in his wake.

    "Holy shi-"

    "Mom? Dad? What's going on?"

     Pantherlily and I looked behind us to see the door open, Happy was clutched to Nashi's chest, his already blue face turning blue-er, Nashi's one arm clutched Happy like a stuffed animal while her other one held her older brother's hand. Taiyo was dressed in black pajamas with skulls decorated all over the pants and the long sleeved t-shirt, Nashi wore a light yellow blouse with small, cheap pink slippers. Pantherlily looked at Happy in understanding. I wonder if Remira does the same to him, just imagining Pantherlily helpless at the clutches of a five-year-old is a hilarious sight. But now's not the time to be thinking about that.

    "Mom, where did dad go?" Taiyo asked, glancing around. Nashi held onto his hand tighter.

    "Daddy probably went to the hospital. Oji-Gajeel is in the hospital because an evil dragon attacked him."

    "Is it Acnologia, mom?"

    "You know who he is?"

    "Yeah, dad always tells us stories about him."

    "Oh, figures."

    "Wow! I hate that big mean ol' dragon already!" Nashi pouted, she released Happy and the exceed coughed as if it was his first time breathing in a thousand years.

    "Come on you three, we need to get to the hospital right now." I stood up and grabbed Happy, Taiyo, and Nashi, I ran down the hallway to the front door, I shoved the kid's feet into their shoes then tugged them out of the room, down the stairs, past the front desk, then out the front door. The hospital wasn't that much of a long walk but it was enough to take a good twenty minutes to get there by running.
