Chapter Four: Dawn of Destruction

(A/N): HELLO EVERYONE! Guess what month it is? August, that's right! And guess what August is the month of? Obviously it's the name of August of the Spriggan 12, but it's also the month of terror and agony. Why? BECAUSE SCHOOL STARTS SOON THAT'S WHY! And you know what that means? It's time for me to get off my lazy ass and do some writing before I get plunged back into the fiery pits of hell that is school.

Oh and an addition to the book: Gajeel and Levy's daughter, Gale, has been renamed: Remira. Enjoy!

Gray

    Knock knock knock.

    "Comin'!" I hollered. I was eating dinner with Juvia while our son, Storm, was asleep in bed. I got out of my chair and made my way around a decorative pot of flowers and pulled open the door. A girl with spikey black hair dressed in a pink blouse slept in Pantherlily's arms.

    "Pantherlily? What are you doing here? It's way past midnight ya know."

    "Gray-kun. We are in desperate need of you," Pantherlily said, his deep voice was almost calm and collective,  well almost- it would have been if he didn't speak so damn fast as if the devil was chasing him though. Scratch that, we all know Natsu isn't one for chasing cats.

    "Why? What could possibly be so important that you had to-"

    "Gajeel, Remira and I had a job to go on. While we were on our way to the train station when Gajeel told me to take off over here because we sensed an immense magic power."

    My heart dropped immediately. "What kind do you mean? A powerful bandit, Zeref, or..."

    "Acnologia."

     I remembered half listening to Igneel speaking to that dragon bastard back in the war with Tartarus. I remembered Acnologia saying something about destroying all the dragons in Earthland, something about destruction, and that his fight with Igneel would be one sided. I pieced together the puzzle pieces and I felt my skin pale, even more than before.

     I ushered them in and closed the door, took Remira from Pantherlily, and rushed over to a sofa to put her on.

    "Juvia, come on!" I said, Juvia was cleaning the dishes when she abandoned her post and rushed over to us. I turned to Lily. "Lead the way."

     Pantherlily nodded then flew out of the house, we followed him out and found him flying over the wall that divides the forest from our neighborhood. We ran over to the wall, used our water and ice to force us over it, and drop into the greenery on the other side. Pantherlily hovered there for us then turned back around and flew off into the forest. I activated my demon's eye and took Juvia's hand in mine and ran after him, seeing off into the distance.

     I saw it before we even arrived at the scene, Gajeel was collapsed there, his body torn with his abdomen wripped with a grousome wound that stretched all the way up to his chest. I saw the wound was only about two inches deep and that no organs or anything serious were harmed, which was good, but the pools of blood around his body was a definite "oh shit".

    "Gajeel-kun!" Juvia let go of my hand and sprinted past me, running over to Gajeel as we finally arrived. She sat down and placed the man's head on her lap, using water magic to gently wash out his wounds. She looked up at me with teary eyes, eyes that said "who could have done this?" I rushed over and covered over the wound with devil's ice.

    "We need to get him to a hospital, right now!" I said then turned to Lily. "Go tell Fairy Tail about this and Levy. We'll handle Gajeel from here."

     Pantherlily nodded then flew off and away, I didn't watch him take his leave and focused on trying to help the man stand. It wasn't until now that I noticed Gajeel was looking a sickly green. The poor bastard had went through enough torment, losing his pride, his arm, and now he looks like he's more dead than ever. Gajeel grunted then opened his eyes a peek.

    "Gajeel!" Juvia sobbed in relief.

    "Gray... Juvia..." Gajeel started.

    "Shut the heck up, Gajeel! You need rest, we're taking you to a doctor!" I shouted.

    "Urgent..." Gajeel muttered, his voice sounding a bit too calm and a bit too hoarse.

    "What is it?"

    "Acno... -logia... He wants... he threatened Fairy... Tail, he... He wants to kill off the... rest of the... Dragneels... and... Dragon.. slayers..."

    "What? What do you mean? Is Natsu in danger?" I demanded, but the iron dragon slayer barely looked conscious enough to answer my questions, so I switched to a new one, one that he could answer. "How do you feel?"

    "Like my... magic was... torn out of my... body..."

     His head dropped as the ice layer over his chest started looking a bit too red instead of pink. Juvia gasped then reached over and draped one of Gajeel's arms over her shoulder, I did the same and we started running through the woods. We looked in each other's way and seemed to have thought the same thing: This is just like what happened to Master when we were at war with Phantom Lord, but since Acnologia did this, it is much, much worse than before.

     Pantherlily

     I woke up Storm and Remira first thing done, no way in hell would I leave another companion for dead again. Storm was up and awake first thing, Remira slept like a log and it took a lot of time to get the girl to wake up. We rushed out of the house, I transformed into my combat form and picked up both kids in one arm and flew off. Storm was cringing from the height while Remira was cheering and pointing at everything she saw interesting. It's funny how this girl could go from little bitch to an adorable child in less than a second. Remira's face suddenly transformed into surprise, I looked down and followed her eyes to see Gray and Juvia running with Gajeel in the streets, even while I was up so high I saw the trails of blood behind them. Oh fu-

    "Lily! What are they doing to dad?" Remira demanded, pointing down at them. She started struggling and I had to tighten my grip on her. "Put me down! Dad's in danger!"

    "Remira-chan, they are helping your daddy. He got hurt and he needs to get to the hospital. We're taking you home for now."

    "What?/Heck no!" Storm and Remira shouted in unision.

     I ignored their protests and insults as I flew off towards our house. Storm was quiet while Remira was thrashing around in my arms and even tried biting my fingers while we made our trip. This is definitely Levy and Gajeel's daughter. I glided down to the house and switched Remira and Storm into one arm as I knocked on the door urgently. A tired looking Levy swung the door open only seconds later, her eyes widened when she saw Remira and me, she read the situation almost immediately.

    "What happened to Gajeel?" She asked.

    "He was attacked by Acnologia," I replied.

    "Acnologia!?" Levy gasped.

    "Take Storm and Remira to Magnolia's Hospital right now! I'll go tell everyone in the guild about this."

     She nodded swiftly and I put the kids down, they ran over to Levy only for her to drag them to their house's garage and open the door. I switched back into my exceed form and flew off, stealing glances behind me and saw Levy jumping into a Magic-Powered car with the kids, she attached the SCP plug to her wrist and put the metal to the pedal. I looked back towards the skies and monitored the houses. I saw the guild up ahead, remembered that Master Macarov was spending the night there, then arrowed down to the guild as fast as I could.
