Natsu
I was wandering down a long, dark corridor. The walls were a sickening dark green with giant mold blossoms stretching from one spot to another, gigantic cracks and holes decorated the walls and some sorts of slime-ish ooze was gushing out of them. The floorboards would crack under each step I took and I only heard my breathing and heart. My body was moving on autopilot as I moved further in, my gaze trained on a shabby door before me. This reminded me an awful lot of the time little-me showed me my memories, how I began in a white room with a chillingly similar door waiting for me to open it.
I stretched my hand out for the long dark handle and pulled the door open with a loud creek. I looked over my shoulder once and saw that everything behind me was pitch black, but within that darkness I felt as if I was being watched. So I entered the room and closed the door as quickly as humanly possible. The room was me and Lucy's room, every detail was exact save for the window. The window was beckoning for me to go to it, but I went to the dressers and drawers instead to see if there was anything obtainable I could use to unlock it. The drawers were like decorations fused to the furniture, none would budge save for one, and it was the drawer that Lucy told me many times to not open (something about burning her valuables. I'm not that clumsy ):).
I pulled the drawer open and was surprised to see family albums filling it. Lucy with some unknown relatives were in some, individual pictures made up a tiny portion while most of it was dedicated to me, Nashi, Happy, Taiyo and Lucy. I rummaged through the photos and my hand fell on a specific one, or more accurately to say, two taped together with something heavy on its back. I never remembered taking these photos, or ever being aware of them. One was a picture of my old family and the other was of me and Igneel. I smiled at the nostalgia and turned the two-in-one over to find a brass key taped to the back with the words "Never forget" written. It was... Zeref's handwriting. I tore the key away from its bind and the atmosphere in the room went from peaceful to menacing in a split second.
When I turned the photo over I dropped it with a scream, what I saw before me now was a large picture of humans, humans I didn't know, slain on the ground, their bodies bent, torn, and dismembered with so much detail that it almost made me throw up. I threw the picture on the floor and when I looked back into the others, I saw it was all drenched in blood. All of it. Whatever pictures weren't completely devoured by the metallic liquid either showed pictures of my family, DEAD, or me as a demon with blood caking my teeth and claws. I whirled around and saw that everything was melting and decaying, and Lucy stood in the center of the room, sniffling with tears soaking her cheeks.
"Natsu..." She whispered and I ran over to her.
"Lucy! What happened? Why are you crying?" I gasped, cupping her face with a hand and trying to wipe away her tears, she was looking into my eyes as if I was someone she didn't recognize.
"Why did you kill us?" She asked and I felt my heart stop, my hand fell and I stumbled backwards.
"W-what do you mean?"
"W H Y D I D Y O U K I L L U S?" Her eyes melted out of her skull and blood poured out of her mouth, nose, and sockets, flooding the room with her blood like a pool. I panicked and ran straight for the window, I jammed the key in and turned it before jumping out of the room. I fell for what seemed like an eternity, clutching my head while repeatedly telling myself that what she just said was an illusion. It had to be! I would NEVER kill my family!
