Taiyo
"DAAAADDDDDYYYYYYY!!!" Nashi cried, holding her hands up to cover her eyes as her toy sat on the floor in front of her, it was a large pony made out of plastic with its left foreleg snapped clean off. Dad rushed in with a worried expression.
"What is it, Nashi?" He asked, then looked at her toy with a "wtf" expression before it switched to sympathy. He kneeled next to her and took her toy in his hand, then held the toy and the leg together. His hand glowed a soft orange and by the time it was done the toy was completely mended back together. She took the pony out of his hand and held it over her head in victory, running around their room with squeals of joy.
"THANK YOU DADDY!"
Dad laughed and caught Nashi as she ran past him, he tossed her in the air before tickling her senseless. Her screams were loud enough to make Taiyo's ears sting.
"Anytime, my lil' devil!" He chuckled, Nashi pouted with a blush tinting her cheeks.
"But daddy, you know I don like devils!" She protested, he just set her on his lap and smirked.
Taiyo put down his Venus book."Dad, if she doesn't wanna be called a 'lil devil' then you shouldn't call her that," Taiyo said coldly. Dad smiled at him with a nervous chuckle as Nashi looked from her dad to her older brother with her adorable confused expression.
Taiyo never knew why, but he had an unconditional loathing for his father. Ever since birth he has always been wary and watchful of the old man, the feeling as if dad was hiding something dangerous from everyone always nagging at his mind, cautioning him to always keep his guard up. Dad had always wanted to bond with Taiyo of all people, but Taiyo knew better than to get caught up in his dad's childish charm so he pushed away any opportunity whenever it popped up. He knew it would make him feel better about his dad if he at least tried to get to know him, at least that was what mom said, but recently things have gotten a little too hectic. What exactly does Fairy Tail know about their dad that not even he or Nashi knows? Dad's only human, he must have no special elements within him so what's worth hiding? Though Taiyo had a better bond with his mother, she wouldn't tell him nor Nashi anything either.
Well, now's Taiyo's chance to learn more about his mysterious father, and Guildarts would be his key to understanding.
"Gajeel, do you smell anything?" Mirajane asked the dragon slayer, who was leaning against trees unsteadily while sniffing the air and ground. Gajeel would act like his missing soul and magic weren't effecting him by fighting and arguing with other mages, but it was always obvious that the slayer was suffering.
"His scent's strong and so is Zaura's, though I'd love to know why in the hell she's here," Gajeel remarked.
"Why would Zaura be here of all places? I thought she went off to live in Natsu's old hut," Lisanna said, Taiyo couldn't help but cringe at the mention of his father's name.
"We should've brought Nashi," He said. "She has a nose like dad's."
"Your mom almost killed me when she found out that I wanted you to come with us," Guildarts said, scratching the back of his head with an embarrassed blush. "It would've been suicide if I took her lil' girl out here too."
"But mom's a regular wizard while you're S-Class, what would you have to fear?"
"Kid, I've had three divorces and been slapped more times than I could count. Believe me when I say that angry women are a force to be recon with, ESPECIALLY mothers. And oh lord don't even get me started on the fathers."
