3rd Person
~~1 Year Later~~
It was a dark and stormy night that one fateful day, the seas were rocky and the wind was unnaturally powerful. A cruise ship was passing through, but due to the unnatural weather, the people on board had to move to the closest spot of land since a typhoon warning has been sent to the captain. Seeing no better place to go to than the one beautiful island not too far away with the gigantic tree, the captain turned the ship there and told everyone to remain in their rooms and report any and all signs of proplems for the ship.
The boat finally came to a halt at the shore and the people filed out of the ship, keeping close to each other as they entered the thick forest. The captain set up camp for everyone and they huddled in groups so that predators wouldn't be as likey to attack. To make sure, the captain himself, Reese Fowl, kept a gun in hand with three other people and kept watch. The woods were surprisingly empty and the only sound anyone really heard was of the rain. The captain, bewitched by the majesty of this beautiful island, offered to go around and look just in case if anything interesting has happened. He climbed many trees and mountains, but no matter where he went he kept long scratches on the trees to let him know where he had gone. He climbed a particularly interesting tree and kept at it until he reached the top and decided that he was going to look around.
What he didn't expect was to see about a fourth of the entire island to be a desolate ashy wasteland that reeked of death. Curious, the captain moved towards it and had an uneasy sense as he was treking over the dead land, like he was interfering with something important, or perhaps walking into a cave with a sleeping bear in it- no maybe dragon would better describe it. He came to a stop at the heart of it all and looked around, but then he found something hidden under the old soot. He knelt besides it and began digging under the dirt until he finally dug up a worn out set of baggy white pants and old sandals. He furrowed his brows. Buried along with this was a mangled up black uni-sleeved coat with golden markings etched into the sleeve.
"This clothing... This is exactly what the Salamander of Fairy Tail wore before he died!" the captain realized. Salamander, the strongest mage in Fairy Tail, had died here! But by what? The captain shook his head, he had to get his crew and his passengers back into the boat, or else they may suffer the same fate the mage had!
Just as the captain got up a hole opened in the sky and he bore witness to a something falling from the heavens. It crashed nearby and curiosity was just too much for the man. He gripped his rifle and stalked closer towards whatever had landed. He ducked behind the dead tree and glanced over the side only to see a crater as large as his ship on the ground with some sorts of creature in it. It looked human, but flames enveloped its body and it began changing.
A demon! The captain screamed and shot wildly at the creature, but it leapt into the skies and flew away before the captain even had a chance to even realize the color of its hair.
A few days later, a cloaked man was seen walking throuhg the streets of some port town, the name of it was unknown to him, but all that mattered was roaming until he'd eventually find his friends. Whoever they may be. Things of the past were blurry to him, he only knew faces and never the names, and as he walked he caught the sight of a familar old man marching down the streets. He had long grey hair, a beard, and golden eyes accompanied with a gold-white cloak and a staff. It was someone that Natsu saw a while ago, he was sure, but he didn't care for it much. As he was about to pass, the old man caught his arm and turned him around. The cloaked man looked at the elderly one as he looked into his eyes with realization dawning on his face.
