"Alright, it seems the time has come," a gruff voice said, his piercing green eyes locked on the city where the mages of each guild team were getting ready for battle. Any moment now, those bells would toll and it would not only be their cue to strike, but their chance to provoke Zeref's underlings to them. Two birds with one stone, just the way he liked it. The man looked away from the fight and down at the blood mage sitting cross-legged besides him, whose arm was currently glowing a bright purple from the giant purple snake he fought earlier. "Mercury, how is your arm?"
The man named Mercury waved the man off with a laugh. "The poison is still in me but I managed to squeeze most of it out of my system. But when will we go and kill 'em? I'm getting impatient over here, old geezer."
"Remember who you're talking to, boy."
"Yeah yeah, but when will we go?"
"Patience, son. Patience. Sabrina, how is the status on Zeref's underlings?"
The said woman reached into her cloak and pulled out some sorts of lacrima, the hologram hovered above it and with a few tweaks and taps she was able to pop up a large map of the city. There were moving dots on the map with their power being reflected from purple to red to simulate their known magical presence. Most of the mages were in the coliseum where the games were taking place, their dots ranging from blue-purple to yellow-orange. Of the people on the battlefield there were only a two red-orange dots and one purple one, which was surprisingly moving towards the first red-orange one sitting in the cathedral. Without much care for the obviously suicidal mage, Sabrina moved over the map until she was able to catch the appearance of four red dots moving closely together on the map. On the power scale, the red dots meant that the mages were absolutely powerful while further down the scale to purple meant that they weren't quite. They were patrolling the town, but at the distance they were at they probably wouldn't make it in time to save lives if this trio struck now.
However, Sabrina's content smile turned into a dark frown as she noticed something odd coming from the west. She scrolled out more until she was able to capture the motion of a white dot flying over the blue holographic screen. This was simply a surprise to Sabrina, the only white dot that she ever saw on her lacrima was Acnologia, and white dots are always a sign that the person was so powerful that it confused even her device. Whoever this dot is, it was moving quickly, but even at the speed they were traveling it would take a good while for it to make it to the mainland.
"Zeref's soldiers are snooping just south of the coliseum and they are at a safe distance for us to move quickly to murder the bloodlines, however I am greatly concerned about this white dot moving in from the west," Sabrina reported and the first cloaked figure widened his eyes in surprise.
"Lord Acnologia himself came?" He said.
"I'm not sure, it could be him attempting to hide his magic power or another abnormally powerful mage. I'm not sure who exactly this mage is, but I imagine that our mission would be a definite fail if it reached Magnolia. At the pace it's moving at it will reach us in less than half an hour so our time is limited."
"I see. Mercury?"
Mercury snapped up immediately at the mention of his name and he looked at the man with a murderous glint in his dark eyes. "Can I kill 'em now?"
