It was another year and even after everything she's been through, she was here. Even though it's her fourth time meeting the author, she still can't help but being nervous and excited.
She remembers her first time. The second book had finally come out and she came to the author's signing.
"I... I'm Emma... From the fan mail."
"You're... You're Emma Nolan? Oh my God! Come here, let me hug you, darling! I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you and Killian."
She smiled at the mention of his name. She remembered.
"Where is he, though?"
"Oh... He's... He had to go to Ireland."
"Well, tell him I thank him, and I'd like to see him and you again. Thank you my lovely girl."
But she never told him. A year had passed since his departure, and she remembers waiting until 7am for a text of him saying he was okay, that he had arrived just okay.
She did receive it, and they kept texting through that sleepless night, tears rolling down on their faces but they still sent happy emojis.
