Throughout their fumbling through dinner, which mostly involved dodging a machine intent on covering them all in that nasty green glop, Keith tried to keep a low profile. The Black Paladin had a super soft spot for Pidge and tended to act over protective whenever she was involved. Perhaps he felt guilty about what happened to her family, and was trying his best to be both big brother and father. Keith didn't envy his responsibility in the slightest.

And he especially wasn't looking forward to using Lance's facilities. He was tempted to just hold off on showering until Hunk fixed his shower. Keith wanted to ask him how long it would take, but he didn't dare talk, or bring any more unwanted attention onto himself.

"Keith, watch out!" Shiro alerted him a little too late.

Keith turned only to get slammed in the face with a glob of "dinner" so hard it sent him staggering backwards. After he regained his footing, Keith dug out his eyes and stared resignedly at his companions.

Apparently Lance thought it was the funniest shit he had ever seen as he was rolling on the floor and clutching his sides as he roared in laughter.

"Don't get me wrong, it was funny. But it wasn't that funny," Hunk said.

"Yes it was! He's totally Shrekked!" Lance insisted between giggles.

"It's the wrong green," Pidge observed as Keith proceeded to scrape the gunk off his face.

"Uh, yeah, he's obviously a space ogre. Space ogres are a different green. Everybody knows this." Lance shot back.

"I'm going to take a shower," Keith announced, turning to go before he lost it and beat the shit out of Lance.

"Keith..." Shiro reminded him.

"I know, I know. I'll use that idiot's," Keith reassured him.

Lance rolled up into a sitting position. "Leave the bathroom door open," he winked, leaving the rest of the team to speculate.

Keith didn't respond. He wasn't sure if the Blue Paladin was hinting that the door would lock him in too, or if he was teasing him. Perhaps he was just trying to mess with his head.

Well, he thought, it's working.
