Keith didn't know how it happened. Just that it did.

One minute they had each been blowing off some steam, the next...well it happened so fast and it didn't last longer than a tic, making both parties question if it happened at all.

Even if it did, that didn't mean there was any intent behind the act. Accidents are bound to happen when one engages close quarters combat. Joints pop, muscles tear, lips brush. For all he knew, they had both jerked their head the wrong way, at the wrong time. Besides, Lance hadn't acknowledged it, and Keith wasn't going to be the one to draw attention to it. They had gone on with their fight, stopping only when they fell apart, exhausted.

Still...

Keith brought a ponderous finger to his lip as he tried to remember the feeling. Perhaps he really did imagine it.

He was jerked out of his wandering thoughts by a sharp pounding at the bathroom door. "Keith! It's been twenty minutes! Do you want to eat with us or not?"

It was Pidge. A few days ago Keith's shower had malfunctioned. Coran was still working on it. Or rather, Coran was working on other, more important things. Who knew he would find the time to fix the shower in Keith's room. In the meantime, Keith had been using Pidge's shower. However he had the feeling she was beginning to regret her kindness, especially after she revealed her true identity. Perhaps he would ask Shiro if he wouldn't mind sharing for a while. Though Shiro enjoyed his privacy, Keith had a feeling Shiro would be more than happy to oblige.

"I'll be out in a minute, Pidge! I gotta rinse out the shampoo," he called through the door.

He heard her mutter something about ridiculous haircut and a problem being solved. He ran his fingers though his hair. It was getting rather long. Back home he never really thought about it, only cutting it when it got too unruly to manage.

After turning off the water, Keith swore under his breath. Flustered after training, he had forgotten a clean set of clothes. And a towel. He looked down at the pile of sweaty workout clothes, debating if he really wanted to put them on. He peeked his head out the door. Apparently, Pidge hadn't waited up for him.

He decided on stealing one of her green towels. She'd understand, right? And it wasn't like he wouldn't wash it before returning it.

Keith's room was right across from hers. It should be fine if he just walked there in a towel. Gathering up his clothes and toiletries in one arm, he exited Pidge's quarters, closing the door behind him. Across the hall he saw his red door. He looked right at the head of the hall where a black door stood firmly closed. He looked left. Next to Pidge's room a yellow door was also closed. However, the blue door next to his red one was slightly adjar. It didn't necessarily mean anything, Lance was careless about that stuff. Besides, he was usually second to the dining room anyway. Not that any of that mattered. The only one he really cared about was Allura. She was their princess they were her knights. It would be shameful if she caught him in such a state.

Darting across the hall, he grabbed the doorknob, only to find the door locked.

Great, he thought. He wished he had taken up Pidge on her offer to make the doors open with facial recognition. He fumbled around with his stuff, hoping he had the keys somewhere. No such luck. He must have left them in Pidge's bathroom.

Retreating, Keith approached the green door. Only, that door was now locked too.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He muttered under his breath. "Open up, you stupid door!" He pounded his fist on the insulted door.

"Keith?"

Oh shit.
