The impending darkness in our minds
Looms closers
Shadowing over us
We build ourselves up to be strong and brave
But we pale in comparison to the darkness insideThe shadowy hands
Grasp all that they can
Pulling you down
Falling through the trapdoor
You thought you knew was thereWe seen pin holes
Of bright white light
But it's just too far
Too out of reach
And it's just so much easier
To let it all go
And just submit to the shadows
Just let them take the reignsThere comes a point
Where it feels like your life is over
When those tiny little sports of light
Decide to fade away
And your only option
Is just to finish what the darkness began
And to just give in to
The impending darkness in our minds
