Like an ash cast from a fire
Float away into the air
Go to anywhere but here
Float away
While we speculate where you'll
Float away to tomorrow
Float away to the next day
And leave us all behind
Because this world is dark
And filled with fear
There isn't much good for you here
And even though your life was cut short
I hope you float somewhere nice
Though I don't know where you'll go when you're done
I know you'll be safe and happy there
And where you've gone when you floated away
The battle will have been won
I know you struggled
And I'm proud of you
For trying as hard
As you tried to do
And even though it ended in sorrow
I hope you'll float away
Tomorrow
Float away
Fly away
Go to somewhere safe
Go to somewhere comfortable
And leave this life in peace
I wish you'd still be here to see your child
But sadly it isn't so
We wish we could have you forever and ever
But sadly you must go
I loved you more than you may know
But float away if you must go
