(Y/N) was just finishing the plating of the dish as Sebastian walked in, placing everything back in its proper place, "Ah, I see you managed quite well on your own. It looks well enough to serve young master, hopefully he believes the same." Sebastian smirked coyly, taking the plates and helping her carry them to the table they'd be dining at.
Once everything was all placed on the table Sebastian headed back upstairs to retrieve his young lord while (Y/N) trudged her way back through the kitchen doors. She sat herself upon a wooden stool, gliding her fingers through her smooth white hair, tugging at the strands as if it would actually do anything.
"Aren't you going to be joining the young master, (Y/N)? I believe it was an order for you to do so after all. Yet you're sitting here." (Y/N) looked up with wide eyes as she was startled by the voice.
"Yes, my apologies. I was just waiting for you to return with young master, I guess I did not hear you come back down. Thank you for telling me."
"But of course." He grabbed a box of tea and exited the room, (Y/N) walking calmly by his side.
"Ah, good. You're here. Finally, I can actually eat. I'm quite hungry. Sebastian, where is my tea?" Ciel turned his head, beckoning Sebastian to him.
"Right here, my lord." Sebastian was at Ciels' side, making his tea at an instant.
(Y/N) took her seat at the opposite end of the table, looking down onto the food she had made. It was a simple dish, nothing fancy at all really. She made it look fancier than what it really was.
Two crepes, filled with fresh berries and melted dark chocolate. When she had them plated she drizzled the same melted chocolate over the top of it before shifting powdered sugar on top of them. On the side of the crepes she made a simple fruit salad, mixed together with a little bit of sugar and fruit juice.
"When you lived with that lady- I can't recall her name- did you cook often or was this your first time?" Ciel lifted his fork, cutting into one of the crepes.
"I was the one who did all the cooking and baking while I was living with Jennifer, so I guess I am kind of experienced. However, I know there is quite the difference from what you're used to having and what I'm used to making. I shall try my hardest to please, I did learn quite a lot." (Y/N) watched as Sebastian finished making Ciels' tea and began to pour hers.
He walked over to her, placing the cup in front of her plate before returning to Ciels' side.
"I see." He lifted the fork to his lips, taking a bite of the food. He showed no emotion on his face as he chewed. "I must say not bad at all. I quite like it. Good job, I guess." Ciel mumbled the last part under his breath, his words causing (Y/N) to breathe a sigh of relief.
Suddenly feeling much more at ease from her young masters words she lifted her own fork, using it to press down into a crepe and remove a bite for her. (Y/N) agreed with Ciel, she did find that it tasted quite good. The only thing she cared about was that Ciel liked it, even if she were to think it tasted horrible. His opinion was all that mattered in this case.
"Thank you, young master." (Y/N) bowed her head, taking a small piece of strawberry onto her fork.
After a few more bites Ciel opened his mouth once again. "Alright, let's get the business talk out of the way. The man we suspect is Aleistor Chambers, the Viscount of Druitt. He has been involved in affairs before that involve the taking of ladies such as the ones who have gone missing, which is why we suspect him now. It's possible he is up to his old tricks, and that is where you come in. Of course, it could be someone different entirely. You won't need help spotting him, you'll be able to tell who he is as soon as you see him. Or hear him." Ciel seemed to cringe as he continued, "To avoid any future problems you will go as my loyal maid, accompanying me with Sebastian to make sure I stay safe. That is what you will build on as a lie to tell the Viscount if he asks. You will find a way to get Aleistors' attention and once you have it you must find out everything you can. He doesn't always play fairly so if you find yourself in trouble... Well. Scream for Sebastian, hopefully he will hear you."
(Y/N) nodded, unsure of what he meant by the last thing he said.
