        "It is quite elaborate," Sebastian pointed out.

        "Yes, but no more so than any other circus," I replied, watching as Ciel handed Sebastian his very tall hat. I assumed it was to make him look taller than he was. Just like Ciel.

        The lights began to dim as the show began. A man with orange hair stood in the center of the stage, welcoming us. It looked like he had a skeleton hand. He had blue face paint under his eye and a purple coat hanging from his shoulders, his bow was yellow. Overall he certainly looked like a member of the circus with his attire.

        He began to juggle, stating that his name was Joker. He seemed nice enough. So far. He bowed to us, letting the balls ball onto his head. When he stood back up there was one in his mouth, which he took out only to have it disappear. The audience seemed to get a real kick out of it.

        Then more people came on stage, seven more to be exact. A 'fire breather' by the name of Jumbo started it off, followed by two people, who looked to be quite young, doing trapeze stunts. Their names were Wendy and Peter, I had to admit they were quite talented. It looked a little scary. You would need to have absolute faith in your partner to do that. Then a knife thrower named Dagger, who apparently never misses a target. He was throwing knives at a girl on a spinning wheel.

        "Pfft, even I could do that," I wasn't as entertained by his performance as I was Wendy and Peter's.

        "Could you now?" Sebastian smirked with a glisten of curiosity in his eyes.

        "Knife throwing is pretty easy once you get the hang of it," I shrugged, leaning back in my seat.

        "If it's anything like darts you may be correct," Ciel added.

        "Not quite, but I'm sure you could do it," I giggled as the show went on.

        A snake charmer was next and I visibly shuddered at the reminder of my demon. Who was also a snake. Not to mention I was the Queens's snake. It's a good thing I've never been very afraid of snakes. His name was, no surprise, Snake.

        "The acts all seem quite standard," I noticed.

        "Yes, and if there are children being forced to perform there's no evidence of it," Sebastian noticed the same thing I did. Not to mention someone who recognize them. I doubt they were that stupid, plenty of people were willing to perform in a circus, I doubted they had to resort to crime to get performers.

        Next was a girl named Doll who walked the tightrope and did acrobatics on it and finally they finished with a girl named Beast in very revealing clothes, who was a tamer of, you guessed it, beasts. A tiger, in this case. Joker asked for volunteers and to my surprise Sebastian stood up and started walking towards the stage.

        I assumed he was trying to get a closer look, to see if there were any clues closer to the scene, what I did not expect was for Sebastian to walk up to the wild animal and start to pet it. He seemed to swoon over the cat. Ciel facepalmed as the tiger bit down on Sebastian's head.

        "Release that man immediately!" Beast whipped her whip at the tiger but Sebastian caught it, clearly not about to let any harm come to the animal.

        "The fault lies with me, I was so overcome by her beauty that I behaved rudely. Furthermore I doubt that indiscriminate whipping would prove an appropriate way to tame her," Beast looked absolutely furious at Sebastian.

        Just then the tiger glomped Sebastian again and the audience began to erupt in cries of shock, "I should have known this would happen," Ciel grumbled, hiding his head in shame.
