Sam's POV:
The storm started to pick back up while Logan was still sleeping. It was worse than earlier. A lot worse actually.
Skate and the guys had came back about an hour ago while the storm was calm, then was the time I had only left Logan for a few minutes. I played it off that I was in her room just to check on her. They seemed to buy it.
Now, I was back in her bed with her, stroking her hair as she slept. I wish I could sleep as well but, I couldn't from how loud the thunder was and the way the lightning lit up the room.
But, it was worth it. I could look at Logan's beautiful sleeping face while listening to the storm. I love storms, always have. They're just so calming and put me in a sleepy, cuddly mood.
The power was still out but, the lighting from the moon and the occasional lightning created the perfect lighting that illuminated her face so perfectly.
She was wearing the Dodger's jersey that she was wearing a few days ago. I absolutely loved it on her. It was a size or two too big on her and she looked so comfortable in it. It made her look even more irresistible and made me want to cuddle and kiss her even more. It was a Yasmani Grandal jersey, her favorite player. A couple nights ago, while we were talking, she told me all about how her dad taught her everything there is to know about baseball. She was so passionate as she talked about the Dodgers and baseball in general. The ways her eyes lit up was absolutely beautiful. She mentioned how she hasn't been to a single game of theirs yet but, I am completely determined to get her to one next season.
I looked at my phone, it was going on 4:30 am. I could really go for a blunt right now but, I refuse to leave Logan, at least until the storm is over. Priorities.
I heard a knock on Logan's door, before I could let whoever in, Skate walked in.
"What the fuck are you doing in here?!" He whisper yelled.
"I was just checking on her." I defended myself.
"Looks like a lot more than that." He growled.
"I swear, I wasn't doing anything." I explained, even though it was no use, he was pissed.
"That's strike two, Wilkinson." He said and left, shutting the door behind him.
I looked back at Logan, her face still against my chest but, she was beginning to stir in her sleep. I looked out the window and the storm still seemed to be going on pretty strong.
Her eyes started to blink as she stretched her back out. She looked up at me with her sleepy, perfect eyes.
"Why are you still awake?" She whispered.
"Couldn't sleep." I sighed, even though I felt extremely tired.
I didn't think she noticed it was still storming until we heard thunder and she flinched.
"It's okay, baby girl. Just try to go back to sleep." I whispered, kissing the top of her head.
"I want you to sleep too." She said with her face pushed in my chest.
"I will. I promise." I said, holding her tight.
She eventually fell asleep, as did I. I wish I could fall asleep like this every night, with her in my arms. But, the unfortunate reality of it all is that she's leaving in about a week.
                              •••
"Sammy. Wake up." I heard Logan's voice whisper. I groaned and stretched, feeling even more tired than I did last night.
