Sam's POV:

As we walked in, I looked around the small area. There was a small couch, which was obviously very used, a television that looked about ten years old. There were also a few toys scattered around the living area.

The kitchen was small, the appliances were horribly outdated. The small table had papers scattered on top, which looked to be bills, along  with a pack of cigarettes, an ashtray, and some empty plates.

The trailer smelled of pasta, which looked to be what was made for dinner, and a faint but, obvious, smell of cigarettes.

The little girl, Savannah, was sat on the floor playing with one of the toys as Rocco was on the couch, watching a football game.

"Who's that, Aunt Lo?" Savannah piped up with the tiniest, sweetest of voices.

Savannah had to be one of the most gorgeous kids I've ever seen in my life. Her light brown hair was so curly. She looked a lot like her "Aunt Lo", especially the tan skin, freckles and eyes. If I didn't know any better, I would think Logan was her mom.

"This is Sammy." Logan said, smiling as she bent down to pick up the little girl.

Savannah looked at me, as if she was studying me. Her eyes wandering from my hair to my eyes and all around my face.

She gave me a small smile and looked back at Logan.

"How do you know him?" She whispered.

"I met him when I was with Uncle Nate and Uncle J." She said.

"Are they friends?" Savannah asked.

"Yes they are." Logan nodded.

"Are you friends with him?"

"Yes, very much so." Logan smiled.

Did I just get friend zoned or..?

"Logan, I gotta go pick some stuff up from Tamara's, can you watch Savannah for me?" Rocco asked, standing up from the couch, grabbing the same Carhartt jacket that Logan was wearing a little bit ago and sliding it on.

"Yeah, I got her." Logan nodded as Rocco grabbed a set of keys from the table and walked out the door.

As time passed, Logan and I played with Savannah. We played with her barbie dolls, of course I had the guy doll.

Around 8:30, Savannah got tired so, Logan gave her a quick bath as I sat out in the living room, texting Johnson and going through social media.

I heard the girls laughing and giggling from one of the bedrooms in the hall. I walked down and peeked into the one they were in. It seemed to be Rocco and Savannah's shared room.

The walls were plain white, it had a few pictures, a hole in one of the walls and a US Marine Corps flag pinned to another wall.

There was two beds, one was clearly Savannah's. There were a few piles of clothes and toys around the room. Logan sat on the edge of Savannah's bed as Savannah laid there, tucked in, looking up at her Aunt Lo.

"Aunt Lo, do you like Sammy?" She asked sweetly.

"Yes, baby girl, I do." Logan replied, running her fingers through Savannah's thin curly hair.

"Do you want to kiss him?" Such an innocent question.

Logan chuckled but, nodded her head anyways.

"Is he going to be my Uncle Sammy?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows before taking a drink of what was in her sippy cup.

"I don't know, love. Why don't you get some sleep?" Logan replied, changing the subject.

"Okay, night night." Savannah whispered.

"Love you, baby girl." Logan said, kissing her forehead before getting up, and turned the light off.

I moved from the doorway before she walked out of the room, pulling the door, not closing it fully.

"Hey." I whispered to her. I noticed she jumped a little but, calmed down after realizing it was just me.

"Hey." She whispered back, walking into another room, which appeared to be hers.

There were pictures scattered on the walls. A majority of them were of her, Skate, and Swazz from high school, her and Rocco, Savannah and also some other people I've never seen.

She shut the door behind her and we sat on her bed.

"You don't have to stay, if you don't want. I'm gonna be waiting up until Rocco gets home. Which won't be until around one in the morning." She sighed.

"I thought he was just going to pick some stuff up." I said, looking at her as she lied down.

"No, Tamara's his fuck buddy. He doesn't know that I know they're fucking. He thinks, that I think, she's just a friend." She rolled her eyes.

"You don't like her very much?" I asked, it was pretty clear to me that she wasn't her biggest fan.

"Not at all. She's a major bitch. And worse, she hates being around Savannah." Logan groaned.

"How could someone hate being around her? She's literally a ball of sunshine." I said.

"I know. I just wish he'd learn who the right ones are." She sighed.

We sat there in silence for a couple minutes.

"Hey baby girl, can I ask you a question? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I'm just curious." I broke the silence.

"Of course." She whispered.

"So, it's kinda obvious, you guys aren't in the best financial state here so, how did you go to college?"

"I, uh, just went to a small community college. Rocco and I saved up enough money over the years for it." She answered.

I wondered why it was just her and her brother here. Of course, with Savannah. I wondered where her parents were while their kids were struggling but, I figured it was best not to ask that.

I lied down next to her and just looked at her for a few minutes. Damn, is she beautiful.

"Logan." I said, getting her attention. She hummed in response, looking at me.

"Will you be my girl, like, officially?"
