Sam's POV:
I put the address that Johnson sent me into the GPS on my phone. She lived a little over twenty minutes away. So, I should get there around six, considering it's about five-thirty now.
I wasted no time and pulled out of the driveway and drove down the street, following the directions that the GPS gave me.
I passed the time by listening to music, as anyone else would do while in the car.
                              •••
According to the GPS, I was a few turns away from Logan's street. And honestly I'm terrified.
I mean I'm terrified of rejection from her but, I'm more terrified of the part of the city I'm in.
I am literally in the ghetto right now, for lack of better word.
I finally turned onto her street and looked around.
Between her street and the one across from it, there was a small field of grass, most of the grass was dead. The field was a bit smaller than a football field. There was a group of about twenty guys playing football on the grass. Most of them were shirtless, some were wearing bandanas, almost all of them had visible tattoos, and every single one of them looked like they could easily beat my ass if they wanted.
The houses around weren't in any good shape. None of them looked like they were kept up good. There were trailers and two story houses but, the two stories looked almost in worse shape than the trailers.
I could hear from a porch that had a group of people smoking, they were blaring 90s' rap.
There is no way in hell that Logan lives anywhere near here.
I pulled over to the side of the street when my phone said, "you have reached your destination."
I looked at the address in the GPS and the one on the trailer I was parked diagonal from. Perfect match. There's no way.
I sighed and got out of the car anyways.
I locked my doors and started to walk towards the door.
"Aye, pretty boy whatcha' doing out here?!" One of the guys that were in the field yelled out. It was pretty obvious they were talking to me.
"Uh, I'm here to see Logan." I called back, pointing my thumb towards the trailer.
I group of six of them walked up to me, causing me to swallow hard.
"Pederson?" The one wearing a red bandana asked.
"Yeah." I said nodding my head.
"What do you want from her?" Another asked.
"I just wanna talk to her. That's all." I said honestly.
"That's what they all say." One said, giving me a weird look.
"I don't think I'm liking him, Trey." One of the other ones said.
"Yeah, me neither." The one directly in front of me replied.
"I swear that's all I want." I said, putting my hands up.
"'Ight, but, if you even you touch her, I'll fucking kill you. I've already done two years in, and I'm not afraid to do more. Ya hear?" The one with the red bandana warned.
"Believe me man, I'd never hurt her." I said.
"Go talk to her then, bruh. But, if I hear her screaming in there, I'm coming in and fucking your life up." One of them, who hadn't spoken up until now, said.
